"Never again. Not if I can help it."

I heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. "Hey Asher, come on in," I said, opening the door for him. "How are you and your family doing?"

I stepped inside and let her shut the door behind me "We're doing good, how about yours?"

"We're doing good. Jason's still really worried about Megan. She's getting there though. I can't imagine what she's going through."

"It's not fun." I sighed "I wanted to tell you that Bella had her baby, it's early but doing well."

"Oh my god... When? When did that happen? Is she okay?"

"Earlier today, it happened at the river. Her and some others were about to fish when she went into hard labor. She's with Pepper now but she's going to be fine."

"Oh good, I'm so glad. She's so young, this whole thing has really taken it's toll on her. The baby's okay though?"

"I believe so, Raine Bast was taking care of her."

I nodded. "That's good. Really good. I guess I need to go see Darnell and Layla then. I asked around over there. Seeing as he's... well... he was Marco's brother... he offered to take the baby in. They want a child, just haven't gotten pregnant yet."

"I think that would be best, I'll come with you. I don't want you going over there alone, ever since Q really let Carlisle's son have it they've been on edge. I have to warn you...Jasper's twin brother Cruz is there."

"I know he is. I met him, during the storm when I stayed with my sister Scarlett. It's so strange... but I can tell he's nothing like Jasper. Are you busy right now? I'd like to go and take the baby over there as soon as possible."

"Alright, that's good. Cruz is a nice guy, I like him for the most part. Let's go get the baby and take her over."

I nodded. "Just let me tell Jason that I'm leaving, he was about to go out hunting," I said and went in the other room. I told Jason what we were doing so he wouldn't be worried if he came back and I was gone, then went back into the front room. "Alright, let's go," I said and we headed out.

Five soldiers came to the door to arrest us. They put us in cuffs and led us outside, Sherri freaking out because they wouldn't let her keep Gabi with her. "At least let her find someone to take care of her god damnit!"



I was walking by the cabin when I heard the commotion. "It's okay Sherri. I've got her. Fucking heartless bastards," I said and picked up Gabi from her cradle. "I'll take care of her, I promise."

"Thank you, Gen. Thank you, so much." I was crying and I kissed Gabi's cheek then the soldiers led us out.
