In Town

I smiled. "You always have to play the hero," I teased and kissed him again. "I love you." 



"You should stay with us. We have an extra bedroom." 



"I don't fucking think so," I said when I overheard her. "Get away from him Tara. Now." 



"You can't tell me what to do Jay. Mind your own damn business." 




"You want Mom and Dad to catch you with him and blow a fuse again, be my guest." 

"I love you too." I kissed her again "Alright, we have work to do here. I'll help you get the kids settled before I go."


"I wouldn't stay in a fucking house with any of you if my life depended on it."


"Carmen, it's alright. I promise."

"Okay baby," I said and kissed him. We gathered up the kids and headed back to the house. 



I went over to Lindsay and smiled at her. God she was so fucking beautiful she took my breath away. You two should stay with us. I'd feel better if I could watch out for you, I signed to her.



"This isn't a time to fucking argue. We need to stick together, in groups." 



"And he can find somewhere else to sleep. He's not staying at the house, Dad and Mom would never allow it. Besides, it's gonna be full anyway."

"Tara, it's fine. There really is no need to argue with him about it."
 

I smiled and signed Thank you, I'd love that. I think Levi is trying to find Rosalie, she already went back to the infirmary.

By herself? 





I found Rosalie outside and stopped her. "Hey, I want you to stay with us. I don't feel good about you being alone." 



"You're right, there's not, which is why he shouldn't be arguing with me about it." 



"I'm just being honest with you, Mom and Dad would never fucking allow it." 

I nodded Yeah. I hope he can talk her out of it.

"Come on, let's go." I told David and we started heading toward the door.


I turned around one more time and smiled towards Tara. "I love you, I'll see you around."

"Why? I'll be fine, really. I need to be there incase someone needs me."

Me too. She doesn't need to be by herself, it's not safe.





"I love you too baby." 



"Then I'll stay with you. It's not safe for you to be alone right now." 

I know, I really hope he convinces her.


"I don't understand why you're concerned about my safety now. You haven't been interested in much of anything since we even got here almost a year ago."

Me too. 





"I have actually. I just... you don't seem interested in me. So I leave you be. I don't want you alone though."

This is really scary...I hope everyone is found soon and they're okay.


"We were getting close until we left Kampfer. I lived with you and you just...I don't even know what happened. But leaving you and Lindsay broke my heart so I'd prefer to just keep my distance. Now, please leave me be." I turned away from him and headed towards the infirmary. 

I hope so too. I can't imagine what's happened to them.





"I didn't want you to leave Rose, I hated it when you left," I said, following after her. 

Asher's pissed.... I haven't seen him this angry in a long time.





"Because you were dead set on going, I didn't know what to say to make you stay." 

And that's very bad, isn't it?


I stopped and turned around to face him "God dammit, do I really need to spell it out to you? You could have said anything and I would have stayed."

Yeah it is.... He's ruthless when he gets this pissed off. If they've done anything to the people they took... I didn't finish my sentence, just shook my head. 



I didn't say anything for a minute. "I'm... I'm sorry. I... I didn't know... Why did you leave them? If you wanted to be there, why did you leave?" 

I know what you mean.

"Because I didn't think you wanted me there.You didn't act like it."

"Well... I did. I reallt did. I hated it when you left."

"Why are things so odd between us?"

I sighed. "I don't know. I don't want them to be. I wish they weren't." I sighed again. "Come back. Please?"

"Alright."

I smiled a little. "Thank you."

I nodded "You're welcome."

"Can I help you get your things?" 

"If you want, I don't have much anyway."
