"She looked upset. What happened?"

"It's nothing, don't worry about it."


"Bullshit. What happened?"

"Does it have anything to do with Heath and Chelsea?"

I sighed "I'd prefer not to humiliate her more than what she already is so I'm not going into details."


I already knew, he didn't have to say a word. Hell, it was pretty obvious. "You can't be serious. God dammit, Ethan."

"What? What am I missing here?" I asked, laying the baby down in the cradle Asher had made for her.

"What are you doing, woman." I teased as I went over and picked my granddaughter up, cradling in my arms.


Oh, God. Might as well just blurt the shit out "Alicia and I have been seeing each other."


"Are you serious?"

"She was sleeping. Sorry Grandpa," I teased and kissed his cheek. I heard what Ethan said and slowly turned my head. "You have? How long has that been going on? When did you break up with Chelsea?"

"I didn't. I guess that's the bad part."


"I assume she knows now?"


I nodded "Yeah. Kiara seen us together and you know her...broke her fucking neck to go start trouble." I sighed "I know it's my fault and no one else's. It's over and done with, let's just leave it at that."


"Of course she ran and told, that's what she does."

"It should've been you. If you wanted to be with Alicia, why didn't you just break up with Chelsea first?"

"I was planning to, it's just...complicated."

"Complicated how?"



"Aw come on Mom, leave him alone. He's just a little greedy," I teased. "He made a mistake. Shit happens, let's drop it."

"I'd been with her for a long time...broke her out of prison and then she helped take care of me when I couldn't remember anything...it was just complicated." I shrugged "Don't worry she got even. Slapped me and then spit in my face. I would have preferred to be kicked in the balls than someone spitting in my face but I deserved it."

"I can't say I blame her really, but I'm sorry that happened. I'd probably do the same thing if I ever caught Caleb cheating. That or worse." I caught Asher's eye and nodded at Alicia's door. She hadn't come out and I knew if anyone could talk to her it'd be him.

"Yeah, I know." I told her and walked over to Alicia's door. I knocked gently "Open up, little bit." I said and looked back at Ethan "I should beat your ass myself. But if she actually likes you in return I'll reconsider it."

I got up and unlocked the door then went back to lay on the bed, facing the wall.

I went and shut the door behind me "I guess you've had a rough night, huh?"

I shrugged a little but didn't turn around. I was afraid to. I didn't want him to see my face, not knowing how bad it was.

"Come, on now. You know you can talk to me, you always have."

"I just... I don't have anything to say," I said quietly. "I... I didn't mean to... to hurt Heath like that. He... he was right."

"Right about what? What did he say?" I asked setting on the bed with her.

"He... he called me a... he called me a whore," I whispered. "Right before Chelsea did this," I said and turned my face to look at him, feeling another tear slip down my cheek.

I felt the color drain from my face. She made a mistake, that hardly made her a whore. God, he would fucking pay for that. "Elena is going to flip shit when she sees your face." I took a deep breath "Did he say anything else?"

"I know... I... I didn't know if she was... awake or not. That's why I just came in here. I... I didn't want anyone to see," I said quietly and looked away from him again, tracing a pattern in the comforter. "I... I said I love Ethan... and... and he said... he said it wasn't him I love, it... it was his... his dick," I said, feeling my face burning. "Then he... he basically said you and your brothers can't... keep it in your pants. And said he thought it was just you that... that had sex with whoever you wanted to. And said Ethan was just like you. That's... that's when he said I... I'm just another one of your whores," I said and wiped at another tear.

"Tell me that I'm understanding you correctly when I assume Ethan didn't beat his fucking ass because he wanted to get you home?"
