Micah Lannister

I called Micah and waited for him to answer.

My phone started to ring and I answered it quickly "This is Micah."

"Mr. Lannister, this is Lieutenant Breaker. I have some bad news. There's been a shooting at the Black Crow in District 5. Four casualties. All unconscious and on their way to the hospital. Shooters were not present when I reached the scene and I don't know how many there were. It's obvious there were multiple attackers though. As of now they're on the loose, armed and dangerous." I paused for a moment. "Silas is one of the casualties."

I felt the blood drain from my face "What!? How serious is he?"

"Looked like the bullet just grazed his head. Lot of blood loss, but he's gonna be fine. I just hope the other three will be too. Their injuries are more extensive. Thank god he managed to call Ryker before he passed out."

"I'll meet you there soon and put everyone else on alert. See you then." I ended the call and ran to Tyrion's quarter's knocking on his door.

I had managed to buy my own house within the Capitol so I could acquire some peace and quiet every once in awhile. When I got home I immediately took a shower and put my civilian clothes on, thinking about the day we'd had. Too many secrets. There were way too many secrets lingering around.

I pulled up in front of Micah's house and shut off my car. He was actually home for once and I wasn't going to let him avoid me or my phone calls anymore. If he didn't want anything to do with me, fine, I'd move on. But he was damn well going to give me an answer. I got out and went to his door and knocked.

I got up from my desk and went to the door. When I seen who it was I opened. "Isabella."

I figured I might as well cut to the chase. "You've been avoiding me," I said as I moved past him and went inside.

"I haven't" I said, closing the door. "I always talk to you at the council meetings.

"You know what I mean. You've been avoiding my calls. You've made sure you're always busy, and not home when I am. I want to know what's going on. If you don't want anything to do with me anymore, just say so. Don't keep stringing me along. It's not right."

"I want...everything to do with you. But my work and family are very complicated and more than dysfunctional."

I didn't say anything for a moment. "If you keep pushing me away... I'm going to find someone else." Not that I'd try, that was the last thing I wanted.



I felt a pang of jealousy "if you're trying to piss me off....it's working."



"If pissing you off will knock some sense into you, then I'll just have to keep doing it." I took my jacket off and started to unbutton my shirt, keeping my gaze locked on his the whole time.



"What are you doing?" I asked her, my tone so serious that I sounded just like my father and hated myself for it.

"I'm showing you... me. What you'll be losing if you let me go." I let my shirt slide from my shoulders and unzipped my skirt, letting it fall too. "Do you really want another man touching this? Touching me?"



“Stop. This is ridiculous. I started caring about you without seeing your body. I just don't want you exposed to the life you may have to live by being with me."

"And I said I don't care. I want a life with you, whatever that entails. You're insisting that you don't want me dragged into your life though. I just want you to be sure. "I do my best. Now answer the question," I said, playing with the top of my thong.
