"Okay. Is he around? I was supposed to have an appointment tomorrow afternoon."

"He'll probably be by in a bit with your brother to see how you like everything so far."

"Okay," I said as there was a knock on the door. He answered and brought my food in, setting it on the table. "Do you want to join me?"

"I'll eat later but I don't mind sitting with you." I said and took her food to the table and set it down.

"So... tell me about you," I said, trying to make conversation. I took a bite and had to hold back a moan. "Oh... my god, this is good."

I chuckled "Told you." I said and thought for a minute "There isn't much to me. I've been serving Tywin as long as I can remember, that's about it."

"What about your childhood?" I asked, taking another bite and smiling when the baby kicked hard. "Radley likes gravy too," I said and laughed a little.

"I spent most of that with Tywin, Micha, Tyrion, and my fellow soldiers. My parents had to give me up when I was born."

"How come? What happened? If I'm not being too rude by asking."

"It was Tywin's law then as it is now."

"Oh... I... I'm sorry," I said and slid my hand over my stomach again as I ate another bite. "Why did he start that law? It... it's so cruel," I said softly.

"I'm not sure why he put it in place but he's never been cruel to any of us. We had a good up bringing and an education. It may seem bad now but it's really not."

I put my fork down. "How can you say that? You were taken from your parents... You don't know what you missed out on because... you never had it. You can never imagine the pain your parents went through... being forced to give you up. If I had to give my son up... I would die. I don't think I could take that. Especially... especially after... after his father was taken from me."

"Not all parents love and care about their kids. Your parents disregarded you, didn't they? I overheard Micah and your brother discussing it. It was all because you became pregnant. It's possible I didn't miss out on much at all. Either way, I don't regret my life. I'm quite happy with it."

"My parents have nothing to do with this, so please don't bring them up again and act like you know anything about me and my life, just because you overheard a little gossip." I shook my head. "I can't believe someone would be so heartless. Have you ever even met your parents? Have you talked to them? Do you know how they felt when you were ripped away from them? And you don't even care." I pushed my food away and stood up. "I don't think I'm hungry anymore."

"So you're allowed to have opinions about my life but you want to get defensive and snarky when I speak about yours? Typical." I chuckled "Don't eat. Doesn't matter to me what you do, really. You should I didn't get ripped away, my parents trusted and followed Tywin so don't pretend you know my story either."

"I never pretended to know your story. I asked, you told me you don't know anything about your childhood. And that you don't care. That it's possible you didn't miss out on much, yet seems like you could give a shit less whether or not you did. How do you know your parents trusted and followed Tywin? You didn't know them, how do you know whoever told you that was telling the truth? And I'm sorry, I do think it's heartless that someone could think there's absolutely nothing wrong with a child being taken from it's mother. If my brother hadn't made it so that wouldn't happen to me, I'd kill whoever tried to take my child from me, or die trying." I pushed my chair in then turned to him. "And for your information, you don't know anything about my life, so don't stand there and think you have any right to speak about it. You want to know anything about me and my life, ask me. Don't go by something you overheard from someone else's mouth."

"I wasn't going by it, just using it to make a point. Not all parents are loving an caring." I said and stood up. "And I'm not interested in tracking down my past because like I said...I'm happy where I am and you may want to tone it down on the "killing" shit. Pregnant or not you could be put to death for saying shit like that no matter what Micah says. Chill your hormones before they get that pretty tongue cut out. If you're going to stay here, you better learn your place and that doesn't include spatting off anytime you feel like it."

"Just because not all parents are loving and caring, doesn't make it okay to kidnap their kids just because they're born boys. What's next, taking the girls and raising them to be sex slaves? And I will not tone it down. If my brother hadn't arranged all this, that's exactly the way it would've gone down when they came to take my son from me. Them or me, one of us wouldn't make it out alive. This is my child, no one is going to raise him but me. And for the record, I don't give a shit who you are. Soldier to the man in charge or not, don't speak to me that way. Excuse me for being a little emotional."

"Doesn't matter if I excuse you for being emotional, Tywin and the majority of other soldiers here won't. If you don't tone it down someone can come in here and do it for you, your brother can't always save you. Now shut up before you start causing problems. Don't you get that? You can't do and say what you want here. Now, not another word about any of this. It's done. Someone is going to overhear your nonsense, and you won't last long if they do."

"Get out. Just... get the fuck out of my room. Now," I said and turned away from him before he saw the tears in my eyes. Everything was just boiling over lately and I felt like I couldn't handle it anymore.

"I can do that but i'm trying to give you some friendly advice to follow, that's all. Saying the things you are can get you and your baby killed. Judge and say what you want about me, I don't care. But I'm not in the business of watching women and children die. I'd prefer not to start now." I told her as I walked over to the door and left.

"Oh and here I thought when you give friendly advice you're supposed to be friendly, not a dick," I said and slammed the door behind him, then went to sit on the bed. This wasn't how it was supposed to be... none of this was how it was supposed to be.

I was sitting at my table in my room and eating breakfast when I felt a pain. It went away after a minute though so I sat there, trying to relax. It came again and I put my hand on my stomach. I was probably in labor but I had no way of knowing. I started to get up and got another pain. Was it supposed to come on this fast? I forced myself up and held onto the chair as the door opened. It was one of the servants and she had laundry in her arms. "Please help me," I said then felt something gush between my legs.

"Oh, dear. I'll get help right away, Miss." I said and rushed from the room, colliding with one of the soldiers.

"What's wrong?" I asked and she told me Clarrissa was going into labor. "Oh, shit." I muttered while she went to locate the doctor and I walked into the room "I ran into the servant. You need to lie down, I'll help you."
