I had been watching the news all night in shock, not knowing what to think. The President was dead and things were in chaos. They showed aerial views of all over Kampfer. Buildings were vandalized, fires were spotty throughout all the districts, the bar in District 5 was destroyed. They zoomed over District 1 and showed the Arena Prison. A bunch of men were leaving, no longer in prison uniforms, but wearing jeans and shirts. And holding weapons. All I could think was my brothers... David... I turned the tv off and went to get changed. I packed a backpack with some first aid stuff, an extra change of clothes, water, my knife, and the gun I'd got on the black market. I pulled my tennis shoes on, locked up, and hurried out. I was going to get to that prison if I had to run the whole way.
