"What do you mean take care of them? You mean... damn. Just by what I've heard, that really doesn't sound like a good idea. Why can't he just let it go? Accept that you all are here now and things are gonna be better?"

"Because he's Quin, and that's just the way he is."

"Well hopefully he's alright. I can tell you care a lot about him." I glanced at the ring on her finger. "So... he's just your boyfriend or..." - Diego

I didn't say anything for a moment and then sighed a little "We were supposed to get married the next day but he took off that night. Left me a letter."

Damn... fucking engaged... figures, I thought to myself. "That's pretty shitty. I mean it's one thing to ditch out on your wedding, but to do it by letter is even worse. I'm sorry that happened to you."

"It's okay." I muttered as we walked but it really wasn't, it hurt so much I could hardly stand it but there wasn't much that could be done now. We walked some more and the camp came into view "Thanks for walking me home."

"No problem. Anytime, I mean that." We stopped and I looked at her. "You know if you need anything... I'll be here for you okay? Even if it's just someone to talk to."

I couldn't help but smile a little "And why are you being so nice to me?"

"Why exactly shouldn't I be? You're really nice, and extremely beautiful, and very easy to talk to. Three good reasons to be nothing but nice to you."

"Well, aren't you charming." I laughed a little "Be around tomorrow?"

I chuckled. "I do my best. Yeah I'll be around. Already looking forward to seeing you again," I said and kissed her hand.

I felt my cheeks heat up "Thanks. See you around." I smiled once more and went into the house. Glancing at him through the window. Quin would be having a stroke if he knew about that guy.

We'd been walking for what seemed like weeks when we stumbled upon a dirt path. We walked a little further and saw houses, a whole village. "Whoa..."



"Wow... I never would've guessed something like this was out here."

"I hope we find Owen here along with the others." I said. I'd been worried about them all but especially my son.

"Me too. I don't know where else they could've gone though. Unless there's something else out there."

"This has to be it." I told her and then turned to Rafe "Son...I'm not sure if you going into their camp would be the wisest thing right now. We should talk to them first and see."

I sighed. "Your dad's right Rafe. We need to gauge what their... reaction will be first. I won't have anything happen to you."



"I'm staying with him," I said, holding Rafe's hand tighter.

"That's fine, we'll come back and get you when we know something."
-Stanton

I nodded. "Okay. We'll be right here."

We'd been traveling for almost 16 hours straight. I used my radio to tell the other vehicles to stop and got out of my car. When everyone was assembled I told them we were stopping for the night and to make camp.

We had caught up to the rest of the group and Alexis was still very vague on what exactly was going on. Fuck it, I would just approach him and ask myself. "Sir, may I have a moment?"

"What do you need? You should be setting up your tent. We are heading back out early in the morning."

"Where exactly are we going? No one has said anything."

"We are on the search for a couple of runaways. One of them is a soldier of mine that has done a great personal grievance against me. We are also going to look for the runaways from the districts. They are going to be brought back."

Holy. Fuck. "Thank you for telling me, I'll get my tent set up right away." I turned around and walked away from him. Fuck, fuck, FUCK. I grabbed my stuff and finally found Brendan "I just talked to Tywin. Do you know what they have us out here doing?"
