We just barely made it to their cabin and went in, hearing two voices in the other room. "This is a nice place."

I watched as Cruz started grabbing stuff to take back. " Baby, I think we are stuck here. Lets get the fire taken care of."

"I think you're right, you two set tight. I got this." I told them and started building up a fire.

I grabbed a few blankets and handed one to my sister. "Here bundle up. Jason is gonna worry. Isn't he?"

"Thank you," I said and put it over my lap. "He knows I came here with you. I'm sure he'll worry because he's not with me, but he knows I'm alright."

I smiled and snuggled closer to Cruz when he sat down. "So, not to dredge bad memories. What happened to make you come out here sis?"

"Jason and I have been out here awhile, longer than the rest that got here recently. I um... I'd been seeing him for awhile. I found comfort with him. He's always taken care of me. I never wanted to marry Jasper, and the kind of person he is... " I looked up at Cruz. "How much do you know about your brother?"

"He knows that he was a bad man. Right baby?" I said as he came and I snuggled into his lap.

"I can't even begin to describe all the evil he's done. But the night I left... he forced himself on me," I said quietly, looking down at my lap. "I locked myself in my bathroom and called Jason, he came to get me and walked in right after Jasper hit me. He... well, beat the shit out of him, then took me with him and we left, came out here. I've never looked back."

I nodded and rubbed Cruz's back, feeling him tense. "How terrible. I'm glad you got away."

"So am I. I've never been happier than since we came out here."

I smiled at my sister then kissed Cruz. " Well I'm glad I get to have you in my life again and that ou are safe."

"Me too. I've really missed you."

"We should get some sleep."
