Arena Two

"Don't manhandle me. Only like it when the ladies do that," I teased and slowly eased up. It seemed to take forever but I was finally sitting up, leaning against Trinity as she put her arm around me. "I'm not... leaning on you too much?" I asked her as Owen handed me some of the food.

"No, it's fine. I just want you to eat, I'm worried about you."

"Don't worry about me. I'm my father's son, I'm a fighter," I said and managed a small smile before slowly starting to eat.

"Yeah, that's true enough." I said and grinned a little "I like the hell out of your Dad. I guess you're okay too." I teased. the four of us finished eating and fell asleep for a bit. When I woke up Chad was across from me but I didn't see Trinity or Feather anywhere "Oh, fuck! Chad, wake up!"

I rolled over onto my back out of instinct and hissed out when I hit my wounds. "Fuck... What the hell, what's wrong Owen?" I asked as I opened my eyes. I immediately noticed that Trinity and Feather were nowhere in sight and sat up, hissing again when my cuts pulled. "Where did they go?"

"I don't know, but I have to find them before the other tributes do. They can't defend themselves." I told him, scared out of my mind.

"Come on then, let's go," I said and pushed myself to my feet, gritting my teeth against the pain, determined to go with him.

I knew it wouldn't do any good to argue with him about staying put. I grabbed my weapons and handed one off to him as we left the cave.

We walked for awhile before we finally found them picking berries. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"




"You're one to talk, what are you doing up?"

"Looking for you."



"Well you need to be resting, not out here looking for-" My words were cut off when I jerked and felt searing pain in my stomach. I looked down and saw the pointy end of a spear sticking straight through me. I fell to my knees, feeling blood trickle out of my mouth.

"TRIN! NO!" I screamed and ran to her, catching her as she fell...

Feather froze as Trinity and Chad hit the ground "NO!" I yelled and tried to move her out of the way. I had almost reached her when I heard a zipping sound fill the air and an arrow hit her directly in the heart "FEATHER!" I didn't have time to reach her and the other tributes came out. My rage and hurt was boiling over.

I held her to me as she tried to speak. Blood gushed out of her mouth and my heart stopped as I saw the life leave her eyes. I laid her down slowly on the ground and kissed her softly, tears in my eyes, then jerked when I felt an arrow pierce my shoulder. Rage ran through me, making me see red. I grabbed the arrow and yanked it out of my shoulder, turning just as one of the other tributes came through the trees. I grabbed his leg and jerked him to the ground, stabbing him over and over in the neck with the arrow until blood gushed over my hand and the ground ran red.

I grabbed the whore with the bow and arrow and ripped it out of her hands. I locked my hand around her scrawny throat and squeezed "Look at her." I said between gritted teeth and held her face so she could look at Feather "You'll look at her until you die, bitch." I said and squeezed her throat, cutting off her air supply until she turned blue and I felt the life leave her body.

I searched the guy and pulled two large knives off of him. "I'm gonna kill every last fucking one of them," I almost growled out and got up, taking off into the woods. I didn't even feel my pain anymore, all I felt was rage.

I bent down and removed the arrow from Feather's body. I pushed her eyelids closed and kissed her lips "I love you, baby." I picked up the bow and arrow, following Chad.

I was running through the woods, vaguely aware of Owen following me, and ran into a clearing right as another tribute came through the trees. I took him down and slit his throat with one knife while I gutted him with the other, my knife slicing him from his neck to stomach.

I seen another tributes emerge, I didn't even stop running as I tackled him hard to the ground. I lifted my fists and beat him until he was covered with blood. I hadn't felt like this since...since the drugs. I was mad as hell and couldn't stop. I took my arm around his neck and jerked as hard as I could, snapping his neck. His body went limber and he fell to the ground like a rag doll.

I got up as Owen did and we headed out again. I was determined to find and kill every single one of them. I wasn't going to stop until I did. We got to a cliff that overlooked a river and found two girls sitting around a fire, cooking something that vaguely resembled a squirrel. They saw us and got up, pulling out their weapons, but we didn't give them a chance. Owen went for one while I went for the other. I lifted the knife over my head and brought it down right across her face, splitting it right open. She screamed out and I tackled her to the ground, putting both knives against her and slitting her throat.

The girl got one good look into my eyes and tried to run from me but I yanked her backwards by her ponytail against my chest. I had pulled my knife from my waist band and brought it up to her throat, slicing it open. I threw her to the ground and left her there to bleed out.

I didn't even bother to wipe the blood off my face before we took off again. We searched for a good half hour without finding anyone. "Where the fuck are they," I said, my voice so low it was almost a growl.

"Cowards are fucking hiding." I snarled.

"Yeah well I ain't stopping till we find them. COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE!!" I yelled.

I heard movement in the brush and turned my head quickly, it was like I could smell them. My senses were alive and focused. I couldn't see my target but it was there, I hurled my knife and a groan sounded "Bingo."

I went through the bushes and was on him, driving my knife deep into his neck, blood spurting out over my hands as Owen went after the other guy. It wasn't enough and I ripped the knife from his neck, stabbing him in the stomach several times before I let him fall to the ground.

I found the other guy with my knife buried into his side "I believe I'll take that back." I said and ripped it out and blood started to ooze from the gash "Nasty wound you got there." I ended his misery with a stab to the heart but I couldn't stop there. I stabbed him over and over again.

I was about to get up when someone jumped on my back. I reached around and pulled him under me, pinning him down with my knees. He buried his knife in my shoulder but it wasn't enough to stop me. I stabbed him right through his eye, driving the knife to the hilt, straight into his brain.
