"Of course. You are my guests in this small room my father has bestowed upon me. My wine is your wine. Now what can I do for you?"

Yeah, Tywin was a real prick like that. "Since Tywin is gone we thought it would be a good idea to get into the good graces of the citizens. Robert mentioned the plan to bring the districts together and we were hoping you could help us with that."

"Of course. Anything I can do to help."

"Did you know all of Micah's plans for that? Tywin had him draw up arrest warrants for the runaways incase they find them too. If they do, we're afraid shit is going to get out of hand."

"I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you there. Do you really think, if the district people still here, thought it was so awful that they were missing, they wouldn't be saying anything about it. It's quite obvious, judging by the state of things when we arrived, that they thought the ones that left were better off. If he brings them back, especially in handcuffs, there's going to be riots. And lots of them."

"Where should we start with all of this?"

"We need to speed up the rebuild. We need to get things running better. We need to get the districts integrated. Make this a community, not a group of separate social classes. Things are degraded here. It's ridiculous."

"So, we need to arrange for Mr. Kyle to have more workers and resources. I can do that."

"Is that going to be possible at the moment, with my father running off with half of his soldiers?"




"We will make it happen. Whatever it takes. Even if I have to pick up a hammer myself."

"Me too. Maybe that would actually help ease the tension of us being here. We'll make it work."

"That's a possibility. That's going to piss Tywin off, but I guess it's a good thing he's not here."

"Fuck it. He should be here anyway."

"You're right, he should. But he's not. Let him go off on his little excursion. We'll do some actual work while he's gone."

"That sounds perfect, actually. Now, the only ones I see having an actual issue with the district consolidation are some of the District One citizens. I think if we go ahead and start that process it may boost morale and more citizens may jump on board the construction "train". Know what I mean?"

"I do. Which citizens do you think we'll have trouble with? Anyone in particular?"

"Kent Ackerman and Amos Jaxon. Other than that, I'm not sure."

"I've heard... interesting rumors about the two of them."

"So have I." I agreed. "How long do you think it would take to tear those fences down?"

"Not long, if we have enough workers available to us. We need to work district by district though."





"A lot of the roads, especially in the lower districts, need to be repaved. Some houses need repaired. Some need to be rebuilt altogether."

"Let's put a team together to start at the lower districts with the repairs and we'll tear down District One's wall today. Would that work?"

"Sounds like a plan to me. That'll be a good accomplishment for the day. We can make a plan for the rest of the work that needs done this evening and go from there."

"Damien, what would you like to help with?"

"Whatever needs done."



"Well. That was vague and unhelpful. Thank you for your input."



"Is your sarcasm really necessary?"



"Is your brooding and sullen attitude really necessary?"



"Excuse me?"



"Oh look, my glass is empty, excuse me please," I said and crossed the room to get myself a refill.

Damien was glaring and I shook my head at him. Nope, don't do it. I looked around the room...where in the hell did all of the wine bottles come from? "Did you have a party last night, or something? Who was the lucky woman this time?"

"He spent the night... with Molly," I almost growled.



"Fully clothed, I might add. She just needed to get out and have some fun. I daresay you don't even know the meaning of the word."
