The Infirmary

"I wondered where she went, I've been worried about her. Is she gonna be okay?" I asked and gasped when I saw Bastian. "Oh my god," I whispered and went to his bed, sitting down in a chair and taking his hand.

"She'll be alright too, one of our guys here stayed with her until she could go to sleep safely. I'll leave you two alone, let me know if he needs anything."

"Thank you," I said softly, not taking my eyes off of Bastian, worried to death for him despite what she'd said.

"You're welcome." I told her and slipped out of the room to give them some privacy.

I held his hand in one of mine and ran my fingers of my free hand through his hair, waiting for him to wake up.

I felt something or someone touching me as I started to wake up. Man my head was pounding, what the fuck? I opened my eyes and seen Gen looking down at me, worry written all over her face "I think I'm alive." I muttered, managing a smile.

I breathed a sigh of relief and adjusted my sling so I could hold his hand better. "Thank god. I'm so glad you're awake. I was so worried about you."

"Are you alright? Your arm."

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. I got patched up, I'm gonna be fine. What about you? Are you okay?"

"Yeah...it feels like I'm patched up too. Did everyone else get out of there alright? Lea and I were jumped trying to help you...that's all I remember."

"Everyone's fine except... well Diego and... all the guys that kidnapped Quin. They're all dead."

"I knew that was coming but I'm sorry. I know you grew up with him."

"Yeah. I... I never... never thought any of them..." I said softly.

"I know...you couldn't have known."

"Is that guy gonna be okay? Quin? I know they... they messed him up pretty bad," I said softly.

"I don't know...this is the first time I've been awake since they brought me back."

"Well I hope he is. I can't say sorry enough for what's happened. I just... after all this I don't even want to go back there."

"I'm sure you staying here won't be a problem."

"I'm not so sure about that. Your friend held me at knife point and tried to take my arm off. I don't see everyone taking it very well if I tried to stay here."

"I'll talk to them, it'll be fine I promise."

"If you say so. I trust you Bastian."

"Good...I'm glad. Does anyone know you're here?"

I shook my head. "No. I didn't tell anyone I was leaving. I was too anxious to get over here and see if you were okay."

I got to the Infirmary the same moment Dad and Darlene did. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me."


"Not in the least."

"Does it look like we're kidding you?" I said and cried out as another one hit.
