Molly Deveraux

I finally made it back to my room, it had been such a long day. However, it did start with a perfect morning. Nothing like an AM shower with Damien Peterson to set the mood for the day. I changed out of my clothes, leaving them in a pile on the floor while I gathered my hygiene items. The servant rooms were nice but we did have to share a public shower room. It was usually no big deal though, the showers were sectioned off for privacy and everyone was clean about it. I lit a few candles in my room before I wrapped myself in a towel and left.

I was finally finished with my work for the day. I couldn't find Molly so I went to her room. The door was locked, so I used my key and went in. There was a pile of clothes on the floor, and when I moved them out of the way with my foot, a piece of paper came into view. Curiosity got the better of me and I picked it up, unfolding it and reading it.

I finished my shower and slowly made my back, still wrapped in my towel I couldn't wait to get into my nigtgown. I wentto unlock my door and was surprised to find it already open. I turned the knob only to see Damien's back turned to me "Damien? I wasn't expecting you." I said and closed the door.

I turned around slowly, holding the letter up. "What the hell is this Molly."

I was shocked and I didn't know what to say at first. "It's nothing that you need to concern yourself with. Why are you in my room going through my things, anyway?" I asked him, going on the defensive. He was angry, his piercing eyes said it all.

"I wasn't going through your things. I was coming to see you and it fell out of your clothes when I moved them to the side. Now answer my question. What the fuck is this?!"

I narrowed my eyes and moved around him, going over to my dresser. "To be honest, it's none of your damned business." I told him and dropped my towel, slipping my nightgown over my body. I turned back to him and reached for the letter. "Please give it back to me."

"I don't think so," I said and moved towards the fire. "I read it. Do you have any idea what would happen to you if you were caught with this?"

"I'm getting rid of it tonight. I know what I'm doing, so please just give it back to me. I made a promise, Damien."

"You made a vow to our president and now you're committing treason. You're not doing anything with this letter," I said and dropped it in the fire. She rushed towards the fire but I caught her and held her while it burned. "Stop it Molly! How were you going to send that letter? Tell me."

I struggled against his hold "I don't have to tell you anything! Let me go!

"Not until that letter is burned to ash! Tell me now. How were you going to send it."

There was no point in struggling against him, he was much larger and stronger than I was. I stopped and watched as the letter burned and I shook my head "I...I can't tell you."

"Yes you can, you think I'm stupid? You think I'm gonna let you have the opportunity to try to send another one? I don't think so. Fucking tell me right now."

"And if I don't?"

"Then I'll make sure you stay locked in here. For as long as it takes for you to tell me. Do not make me involve Robert in this."

"Oh? So what are you now, my master? You're going to lock me up until you get your way. That must be pretty typical of the male species." I told him, my voice becoming a little shaken. "We were in the same encampment but you know nothing of what I went through. Your threats don't scare me, it's nothing I haven't been through before." I took a few steps back to put some distance between us. I didn't want Robert and the others to lose their trust in me but what about Obedia? "There's a black owl. That's where I was taking the letter."

"If Tywin were here, you would have had your head removed from your shoulders. You must have a god damned death wish Molly. I know you want to help people, all the time, but this was suicidal. This was stupid. I'm not gonna say anything about this, but you better make sure it don't ever happen again. Stay here," I said and made for the door.

"Where are you going? Please, Damien. Obedia is sick...he shouldn't even be in that god forsaken prison. He loves Victoria, she's like a daughter to him. He wants to protect her, why does it matter to you if Tywin finds them or not?"

"It doesn't matter to me, but that's not the point. I don't second guess our leader, and I don't go behind his back. Letting you do that would've been treason on my part too. I don't have authority to get Obedia out of the prison. That's where Tywin wants him. And I'm not going to him. I'll be right back."

"I don't want you to come back here. Just leave me alone."

"No. I'm not gonna leave you alone. I care about you Molly. If I didn't, I wouldn't have done a damn thing," I said then left the room.

I would have locked the door but what was the point if he planned on coming back...and he did have a key thanks to my stupidity. He was going to get rid of the owl and Obedia would probably never forgive me.

I came back after awhile and crossed the room, sitting down at the table. "I'm having food sent up. You need to eat and so do I."
