We pulled up to my house and I sighed a little "Come on, let's go." I told her and got out of the car.

I got out of the door silently and followed him up to the house, hoping I could just go to bed and wouldn't have to talk to this asshole, who obviously wasn't any happier about this situation than I was.

She followed me into the house and I closed the door behind her. "Come on, I'll show you to my room. The guest room doesn't have shit in it right now but I'll get that taken care of. I'll sleep on a sofa or something until then."

"I'm not sleeping in your bed. The sofa will be fine for me." 

"I'm not happy right now but I'm not a total dick either. You can have my bed but if you're afraid of cooties or some shit like that I'll have the sheets changed."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh yeah, like I would ever get close enough to you to even think about getting cooties. It's not you being a total dick if I tell you I'll sleep on the couch. I don't want to sleep in your fucking bed, end of story." 

"No."

"No what?" I asked, turning to glare at him. 

"No, you aren't sleeping on the sofa. That's the end of the discussion. You hungry?"

"Guess I'll be sleeping on the floor then because I'm not sleeping in your fucking bed. And no. I'm not fucking hungry. I'm sure anything you touch would make me vomit anyway." 

"Oh, my god. I need a fucking drink. Do you need a drink?"

"No, I think I need several actually." 

"Then I'll be right back." I told her and went into the kitchen and grabbed two glasses along with a bottle of liquor. I walked back to where she stood "Can you manage to set on the sofa with me?"

"Long as I don't have to sit right next to you," I said, taking the glass he handed me and plopping down on the couch, then held it out to him to fill with whatever was in the bottle.

I popped the lid and filled her glass to the rim and filled my own. "Bottoms up, sweetheart." I said and took a long drink.

I downed everything in the glass then held out my glass to him. He gave me a look but refilled it anyway. "What? I'm my father's daughter, I can hold my liquor." 

"The notorious Brady Simmons. He's been quite the talk of this place since he took up with your mother. Or so I've heard."

"Oh you have no idea," I said, smirking a little. "There's is quite the story. Not that I was around for most of it, but I know what happened." 

"They kept you a secret. I don't know much about you because your file wasn't much thanks to them."

"They did it to protect me. I spent my whole life down in District 5." 

"I see. That was very selfless of them."

"It was. But it also broke my heart most of the time. They couldn't come to see me much. And I didn't have a relationship with my brother until I was in my teens," I said and held out my glass for more. "Know anything about the late Nicholai Sullivan?" 

"Yeah, I seen his pictures after your Dad and Uncle cut him up. Pretty gruesome shit." I said and poured her some more. Talk little birdie, you'd be snoozing soon enough.

"He deserved every bit of it and more for what he did. Fucking jealous sick bastard."
