Bella Thorne

Things were going great. I didn't know any other way to put it. Raine and I had recently turned 18 and gotten a place together in the Capitol. We weren't allowed to live anywhere else, but we were able to keep our maid positions. We'd both worked seven days a week, saving up a nice little nest egg for when we moved out on our own. It wasn't a big place by any means, but it was nice. It was close to the nursery too. Leyla left Emily there when she was working, so I spent my breaks there. I hadn't spoken to much of anyone since we'd been brought here. Some were in prison, some being held as prisoners at the arena for the sick pleasure of our pathetic excuse for a president. Some were dead. Dead without being given a funeral. And we were just supposed to forget them. I would never forget them. My family, connected by love instead of blood. I hadn't seen Alena in longer than I cared to admit. I wasn't permitted a vehicle, and wasn't permitted to leave the Capitol either. The soldier's village was located just outside, and god knew Timber had never bothered to bring her for a visit. Or even call. I was alone. Except for Raine and the other maids. It was just as well. The less you had, the less you were able to lose.

Bella

Tywin had called Skylar to let him know my situation. He immediately met me at my room and I'd asked him to escort me to Raine and Bella's house. When we arrived I knocked on the door gently.

I went to the door and looked through the peephole first before openingit. "Hey. Come on in."

Bella

"Thanks." I told her and turned to Skylar "Do you want to come in or wait out here?" I asked.

"I'll come in. I was instructed to stay with you at all times."

Skylar

"What's going on? Why do you need a bodyguard?" I asked as they came in.

Bella

"I thought seen someone watching me this morning. Someone that I'm not on good terms with."

Molly

"What? What do you mean? Who was it?"

Bella

"Someone from my past. It's probably nothing considering...he's supposed to be dead. Maybe I was just having a moment."

"Maybe. If I've learned anything over the years though, people aren't always gone when you think they are." They were now though... had been for awhile. "Did you actually see him die?"

Bella

"I thought I did." I said, sighing a little. "Damien did too but I talked to him already and he thinks I'm nuts. Nothing new there though." I told her but then decided to go ahead and change the subject. "Anyway, Tywin asked me earlier to make sure that Joy Anna was given her medicine today. Will you take it to her? I would, bu those of us who were even remotely close to her aren't allowed." 

"Yeah, sure. I'm not scheduled to work today so I'm not doing anything. Raine's gone so I'd just be here alone all day."

Bella

"Thank you, I appreciate it. Will you let me know how she is afterwards? I'll be home so you can just call my room."

"Yeah, of course. I'll call you as soon as I get back."

Bella

"Thank you, so much Bella. I don't know what I would do without you."

I smiled a little. "You'd get by Molly. You don't give yourself enough credit."

Bella

"You're right, but these days I'm finding it harder and harder." I said and managed a smile. "Here, let me give these to you." I said and pulled Joy's medicine from my pocket. "Lydia took a colossal fit so we could still manage to see Joy Anna somehow even if it is just to deliver her medicine." I said and handed it to her.

I smiled a little. "Leave it to her." I took the meds and put them in my purse. "I'll get these to her right away."

Bella

"Thank you, Bella."

"You're welcome Molly. You should come by more often, we don't see each other enough."

Bella

"Thanks, I'll do that."

"Alright. Good." I smiled at her and grabbed my purse. "I'm going to get these to Joy. I'll see you later. Nice to meet you Skylar."



"You too."

"I need to go into the shopping district and pick up some things that I left earlier. I should be home by the time you're back." We said our goodbyes and I left with Skylar.
