In Town

"Sweetheart? What's wrong?" I asked, going to Aurora when I saw her holding her stomach.

"Noth...nothing." I muttered when the pain didn't go away "I just want to go home, please...someone take me home."

"You're in pain. I'm not taking you home. Come on, come to the infirmary with me and let me check you out," I said, looking to Erica for help.

"She's right Aurora, you need to be seen. Has this been going on?"


I shook my head "No, I've been sick but not like this. It's probably stress, I don't want to see Pepper. I can't go there and look at him right now."


Chase and I decided to step in too "She's right mom. It's probably stress, she'd feel better at home. We'll take her."

"It could be stress but it could be more. We can take you in a different room, you don't have to see him. Please Aurora, let us take you then you can go home."

"I don't want to be here, Selma. Everyone knows...everyone. I'm hurting, worried about Quin and Diego both, and humiliated to go along with it."

"I know," I said, taking her hand and squeezing it. "But ignoring it when your body tells you there's a problem, especially when you're pregnant, is not a good idea," I said softly.

The pain finally started to ease off a little and I shook my head "Forget, I'll walk home myself." I said and started to walk away from them all even if it was slowly.


"Aurora, don't be difficult. Mom and Selma wouldn't give you bad advice."


"Come and check on me later if you guys are that worried. I'll be fine."

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I watched her walk away, praying she was alright. "She's just like Quin, stubborn as hell. God I hope they can get through to him."

"This is such a mess..." I sighed "They'll get through to him and bring him back."

"I hope so. I've been so worried about him... It just seems like it's one thing after another. All I want is for him to heal. I'm afraid if he keeps up like this he's not going to."

Carter was coming out of the mess hall when I made it back "Carter!"

I turned to look at Abi and froze when I saw the look of panic on her face. "What's wrong?"

"I went to see Cameron and he's bad Carter. He's really bad, and saying things like...he wished he was dead and how none of us needed him anymore. He said I deserved better than him and he couldn't take any of this anymore...I tried staying and talking to him but he locked himself in the bedroom and went out the window. I know Ronna needs you but...I think Cameron wants to kill himself. I'm scared fir him Carter, please help me find him."

"Fuck," I said and looked around, seeing Faye. I went to her and asked her to please stay with Ronna, I'd be back as soon as I could. She said she would and I ran back to Abi as Bastian came out of the Mess Hall. "Hey, I think I'm gonna need your help," I said and told him what Abi said to me. "If he doesn't want to be found, it'll be hard to find him. Will you help us, please?"

"Of course I will bro, I'll get Lea and Abi can grab Caleb. Meet you at the woodline." I told him and ran to get Lea. We all met back up in less than two minutes "Alright, lets find him."


"I'll take the trees, if I see anything I'll call you guys." I said and quickly shimmied up a tree with no problem.

We headed off into the woods and I was trying to stay calm, trying not to get frantic. What if he did something and we didn't find him in time.....? "Do you know what direction he went off in?" I asked Abi?

I nodded, my stomach was in knots and I was sick with worry "He had to go west."

I nodded and walked even faster, almost running as we got closer to his cabin. There was still bits of snow on the ground and I could see footprints. "He can't be that much farther. See anything Lea?" I called up into the trees.

"I see footprints! Keep going, there's a stream just ahead!" I called to them, watching my footing on the still snow covered tree limbs.

I was exhausted, on the edge of consciousness. I hadn't eaten in a week, barely able to find enough food to feed Logan. I hadn't slept, too afraid of being found and killed. Killed like Stephen. I didn't know how much longer I was going to make it when a miracle happened. I stumbled onto a dirt road, right near some buildings. I set Logan down and slid my pack off my shoulder, then slowly sunk to the ground. I couldn't walk anymore. My vision was hazy and I vaguely registered Logan talking before everything went black.

I was walking along when I head a child yelling for help, the voice wasn't familiar so I followed it until I found him. He was kneeling in the road next to a woman laying on the ground. I took off running towards them and as I got closer I realized who they were "Carolina!?" I was shocked, why would she be out here? "It's alright Logan, your mother is going to be fine." I assured him as I found her pulse, she was just unconscious. I picked her up into my arms and headed to the infirmary with her as Logan followed.

I was out in the woods working on my training but still close to camp, it had been so long since I'd done anything I just had to get some built up energy out. I was using a dead tree for target practice when I caught movement from the corner of my eye. I stopped and looked around me, listening. I heard the ground crunch and slowly made my way towards the sound. I heard a whizzing sound and barely moved my head out of the way when an arrow struck the tree behind me.  It was a female, heading towards camp, and that bitch just tried to fucking off me? She had multiple weapons with her that I noticed quickly, she turned and started running towards the camp and I ran after her. She'd pay dearly for not killing me just now. I chased her into the middle of the small "town" and when I got close enough to reach her, I lunged and tackled her to the ground. We rolled and she kicked me off of her but not before I pulled the knife from her belt. She swung and I ducked, dodging the blow she attempted to land to my face. I brought my leg up hard and kicked her away but she didn't seem to mind it. She was good, so this would keep me entertained for a bit. She brought her body back around and landed a kick to my back. I spun around and slashed out at her but she dodged and I noticed her with another knife. She must have packed extra, what a smart girl.


I was about to attempt another kick when she came so fast I didn't have time to move and she hit me in the jaw, causing my head to swing to the other side. She was going to hit me again when I quickly ducked and caught her in the stomach. God, she wasn't giving up. After a few more rounds we ended up tangled in each other, we finally stopped when we heard the yelling and we were holding each other's throats at knife point.

I'd been walking to the mess hall to get something to eat when I saw them. "HEY! Stop it! Now!" I yelled as I ran up to them, getting my bow and arrow ready. I got up to them and aimed it right at the girl's head. "Lower your knife. Now. Lea you okay?"
