"I think he went back to Kampfer on his own. I need to go see Aurora later and tell her he wasn't with me. I dread it."

I sighed. "Oh no.... Are you going to tell Selma too or do you want me to?"

"I will. You just get some rest and I'll tell them."


"I'll go with you, if you want."


"Yeah, I'd like that. Thanks."

I nodded. "Rest is good," I said and got up slowly to get my plate off the counter. "Are you sure you're alright?"

Everyone was having their own conversations now and not really paying attention "I just can't sleep for wondering...if they're looking for us or not."

"I seriously doubt it sweetie. They haven't found us yet, there hasn't been any sign of anyone. If they were looking, they'd have found us by now."

"You're probably right but I still worry." I said and watched Timber talking to everyone "Cade has to go. I won't be able to rest until I know for sure...I love her too much to let anything else happen to her."

I reached out and gave his hand a squeeze. "I know you do." I paused a minute. "You're... going back aren't you?" I asked quietly. He nodded and I sighed. "Then when you take him down... take that piece of shit Jasper with him. And Marco and Jamal. If you can manage it. But don't you dare put yourself in danger. You had better come home. In one piece. Do you understand me?"

I smiled and nodded "Yeah, I understand you. Marco may already be dead, I don't know for sure. If not then...he's in pitiful shape."

"What do you mean? How would you know that?"

"Are you sure you want to know?" I asked and she nodded. I told her that I waited on him in his house during the raid, then stomped his nuts until he could barely breath and blew up his place "I don't know if he made it out or not."

I didn't say anything for a minute then nodded. "Good. After what he did to Erica, and to so many other people, he deserved so much worse."

Bastian and I got to the other camp and I followed him to a cabin, standing a little behind him as he knocked.

I heard a knock and got up to answer it "Hey Bastian. Whats up?" I asked looking at the girl and recognized her from the other camp.

I was right behind them when Asher answered the door "Look." I said stepping up to him "A woman was found at the other camp, badly injured. Bastian and I went to see if she could be identified and...um...It's Linna."


I felt the blood drain from my face and I started to shake "Linna. Is here?"

The fury in his eyes frightened me, which was strange because hardly anything did. "She's passed out, she has a bad bite from a snake. We have her back at our camp, handcuffed to one of the beds. She's not going anywhere and even if she wasn't handcuffed and she was awake, she's in no shape to get up and move around."

"I'm going to put that fucking bitch out of her misery." I almost growled.

"What fucking bitch? Who are you talking about?" I asked, coming into the hallway where I'd heard them talking.

"No one, get back into the kitchen."

I raised my eyebrows at him. "Excuse me? Since when do you get off talking to me like that? What the fuck is going on?"

"Nothing is going on. Please, just...go back and we'll talk in a moment."

I crossed my arms over my chest. "I'm not going anywhere. Obviously something is going on and if you don't tell me I'll find someone who will. I'm tired of the fucking secrets. You are not keeping this from me, whatever it is."

"Fine. Linna made her way here, she's at their camp." I said nodding towards Gen "I can't let her live, Timber."

I felt the blood drain from my face, not sure if it was because of the fact that Linna was actually here, or because of what he said he was going to do. "You're not killing her. She's my sister," I said firmly and looked at the blonde girl. "Was she alone?"



"As far as we can tell. No one else has showed up, but she was just found. She's pretty beaten up, cut and bruised, probably from the woods, and she's been bitten by a snake. It's pretty bad."


"I have to go to her. I'm going now, can you show me where?" I asked and the girl nodded.

"Have you lost your fucking mind? I'm not letting you go anywhere near that crazy ass bitch."
