Main Camp

"You'll be here until we let you go. You better believe that. Come on Rafe," I said and waited until he'd walked out then followed after him. "What are you three doing out here?" I asked after I'd closed and locked the door behind me.

"Listening, i told them wait." i said and looked at D. "What are we gonna do with them. She's saying forty, we are outnumbered by nearly double."

Rafe

I shook my head. "I need to talk to Carlisle and Cole. They're talking about sending a few out to scout tonight. We're very well hidden and we know how to protect ourselves. Even if they do find us, all of them are not going to come. She said most of them are injured women and starving children."

I came up the hill as D was talking, Carlisle behind me. "So, they talked some i hear. How many?"

I sighed. "40. Or more. But they said most are injured women, starving children, I don't know how many men, they didn't say."



"40? Geez... We need to scout, but I'm needed here. Cole, you and Darnell head out and see what you can find."

"What's going on? Need my help with anything?" I asked as I walked up on the others.

"You're right, we should go check on her." I told him "Are you alright? You look pale all of a sudden?"

"Hey Cruz, seems the girls have a small entourage of about 40. Mostly women and kids."

"No, just i dont want anything to happen to any of you, or my baby sister. Moms already lost one."

"Wow. That's a lot of people, must have taken them weeks to get here."


"I know, I don't want anything to happen either."

"Well lets go take a look shall we. Trace, get the girls back to your moms, and help Diego."

"Okay, uncle Cole." i said and took Cody's hand. "Come on guys."

I came up behind cruz and looked over his shoulder at the others. "Im going too." i said and came around. "She said alot of women, they are hurt and wounded. They will not be warm to a gang of male strangers, and plus we have their girls. Someones daughters. So, im going." end of story. Scarlett

"Me too." I said as I came up behind them as well "Scarlett and I will join you."

I looked at Scarlett and Leyla "I would feel much better if the two of you stayed at camp to an eye on things."

"So would I actually." They both gave me looks and I sighed. "If you're intent on going make sure you have plenty of weapons. You're both good fighters, you'll be fine as long as we stick together."

I looked at Leyla, "I thought you were gonna stay and make sure Sheridan is okay."

I looked at Carlisle "She wouldn't let me stay. I tried to get her to, but Carlisle she just wouldn't. She doesn't want help from any of us right now."

"We sent the kids down, she will be fine reprimanding them" i laughed, smiling at leyla.

"I wouldn't count on that, here she comes."

I sighed. "Stubborn woman," I muttered to myself. "I'm staying here then, someone needs to be with her and she lets me stay. Most of the time."

"I want to meet those two girls, Carlisle."

I sighed again. "I don't think that's a good idea Sherri. What are you doing out of bed baby? You're supposed to be resting."

"Like I can when our children are out running around putting themselves in danger and then kidnapping." I said, putting my hands on my hips "I want to see them. Have they eaten?"

"They were offered food and refused. The kids are fine baby, I promise. Please go back to the house and rest," I said, trying not to show my worry.

"If I were taken, I would refuse to eat too. Let me try, I'll even sit down while doing so."

I sighed. "Fine," I said, against my better judgement. "But I'm going in with you."

"That's fine, Sweetheart." I said as he gathered the food. Darnell unlocked the door and we went inside "Hello, I'm Sheridan." I said introducing myself.


"Hi." I muttered.
