Quin & Aurora

After Carlisle left with Diego I closed up the stables for a bit so I could go let Quin know. He hadn't been back since Brown Eyes lost the baby but I pretty much knew where to find him. I went into the woods and after a few minutes saw him coming through with a deer "That'll make for a good supper."

"Yup. Took me a little bit to track him down but I got him. You mind taking it back for me?"

I leaned up against a tree "Naw, you know I don't mind. Listen, I thought you'd like to know they came and picked up asshat this morning. Took him back to the camp."

"Good. Now I don't have to run his ass out."

"I saw Brown Eyes too, she was with Raine."

"Raine actually got out of the house?" I asked, looking at him. "How are they? Did you talk to them?"

"They seemed good, I didn't get to talk to them because I was keeping an eye on Diego. He seen her, started yelling and carrying on, she didn't talk to him or anything. Raine took her to see Bella."

I shook my head. "That bastard better keep the fuck away from her. I catch him around here again I'll finish what I started. Wish Jack hadn't pulled me off him."

"His people aren't too happy, I could really tell that today. Do me a favor and don't go anywhere near that place alone, alright?

"Like I would want to go anywhere near there. You don't have to worry about that, my place is here."

"Sounds good. When are you coming back to camp?"

I shrugged. "When I have a reason to I guess. Aurora won't talk to me. Without her I have nothing. The way it's looking... she's never gonna want anything to do with me. Not after what I did."

"What do you mean? What did you do besides beating the shit out of that guy, he deserved it."

"Me and you might think that but she doesn't. And... she lost the baby because of it. She lost the baby and... it's all my fault. Everything is always my fault. It'd be better for everyone if I just stayed away."

I sighed "Did she come out and say that losing the baby was your fault?"

"No. But she didn't have to. It happened right after. She was screaming for me to stop and... well you were there. It was too much stress. If I hadn't done that... she'd still be pregnant."

"That probably triggered it but it could have been happening from the start. Development issues, and stuff. I know it hurts, believe me. But you can't blame yourself. I did and look where it almost got me."

"As much as Diego deserved what I did, I'm to blame for Aurora losing the baby. Nothing's gonna change that Asher. No matter how much I want to. Like I said, everyone would be better off if I... if I just stayed away."

"You need to go talk to her, Q. I think she'd listen."

"Why would she? She has no reason to. I left her and she lost the baby all because I can't keep my fucking anger in check. Why the fuck would she listen to me."

"None of us can keep our anger in check, you aren't the only one. We've all made mistakes, we're human." I said and chuckled to myself "Damn, I sound like Elena. She's always going Dr. Phil on my ass."

"And here I thought that was your job these days," I teased.

"Seems like it, maybe I should be a therapist instead of working with the horses."

"Well people do seem to like to talk to you," I said and bumped my shoulder into his. "That's definitely not my line of work."
