"You're a fast learner, it won't take you long."

I smiled. "I hope not. I want you to be proud of me."

"I'm proud of you no matter, Faye. You're a very strong woman."

I smiled and kissed him. "Thank you, that means a lot." We walked further and I spotted a cluster of bushes filled with berries. "Are these edible or poisonous, do you know?"

I looked at the berries "Poisonous. Don't eat anything without asking me first, alright?"

I nodded. "Okay, I won't. I didn't know, that's why I asked you first."

"I'm glad you did, baby. I'd hate for something to happen to you."

"I know. I trust you baby," I said and kissed him. "I love you so much. Now let's get to our new home," I said and gave his hand a squeeze.

"Let's go." I said as we walked farther into the wilderness.

We walked for days, resting and eating when we needed to. I didn't know how long we'd even been gone anymore, I'd stopped counting. We got to the edge of the forest and I stopped. "Wow... it's so... open," I said quietly.

"It's beautiful isn't it? I knew we'd find something out here."

I smiled as I looked around. "It really is... it's really beautiful... I never would've guessed anything like this was out here."

"I wish the others would put theirs fears away and get out."

"I wish that too. I don't know if that'll ever happen though. There's too many dangers in trying to escape, but it would be better than staying there."

"I agree, ready to go see what we can find?

I smiled up at him. "Definitely," I said and took his hand, almost pulling him as we went forward. We found some rundown buildings, ruins almost, some that had been burned out, some that were useless altogether. "Well... it's not Buckingham Palace, but I think we could make it work. What do you think?"

"I think it could work for us, and it's big enough so if others come out this way too."

I nodded. "Yeah it is. There's plenty to keep us busy too. We'll have to make it livable without doing much to the outside. If they find this place I want them to pass it up thinking no one's here. Safer that way."

"I agree, unless more people come around and we can set up some type of security. We'll probably always have to hide but it will be worth it."

"Any type of life that's not there is worth it. Plus, here, I get to be with you. That's worth everything," I said and kissed him.

I kissed her back gently "Yes it is." I said as made our way to the ruins of an old town, I seen houses across the other side "Have your pick." I smiled.

"Hmm... I want that one," I said, pointing to one that looked like it used to be blue. "I think I want that one, let's go look inside."

"Lead the way, beautiful." I said as she took my hand and we headed in that direction.

We went in and it was a complete mess, but that was to be expected. "At least they didn't burn this one out. I think we can make it work. We can fix this one up." I turned to him and smiled. "So... this is our house huh?"

"Whatever you want." I smiled "I like it, we can really fix it up."
