Jack & Erica

I got back to Erica's and composed myself before letting myself in. "How is everything coming along?" I asked Erica. "Are you ready to show her the dress?"

"It's good, the girls are having a hair frenzy right now and Lea whipped up a little bit of homemade makeup for them to wear. I can't wait to show her, she's going to love it."

"I really hope so. I wished we'd had more to work with but I think it came out really great. Let's go get it out," I said and followed her to her bedroom.

I carefully pulled the dress from my dresser and laid it out on the bed. "It's perfect. It's really going to suit her."

"I think it's going to look perfect on her."

"I think so too, it's beautiful."

I smiled. "We did good," I said and hugged her. "Let's go see what she thinks. She doesn't know anything about it yet does she?"

"Nope, my lips have been sealed." I told her as we walked into the other room "You girls look so beautiful. These men around here will lose it tonight for sure." I laughed and went over to Aurora "Your hair is beautiful, sweetheart. Selma and I have something to show you."

"We've been working on this for awhile. We... didn't have much to work with, but I really hope you like it," I said and brought the dress out from behind my back.


I came back from the mess hall to check on how things were going and smiled as I went in. "You ladies look lovely," I said and kissed Erica.

"Oh my god, it's gorgeous!" I smiled as I stood up and hugged them both tightly. "Thank you so much."


"Quin is going to lose it when he sees you in that."


I  blushed a little bit "Yeah...probably." I said and then went over to Jack "Hey, can I talk to you for a second?"

"He'll more than lose it. He'll be lucky if he can make it through the ceremony," I said and laughed.



"Of course sweetheart. You can talk to me about anything."

"Would you walk me down aisle?" I asked "My Dad has been gone for a long time but if he could choose anyone to step up and do that for him it would be you. You're my Dad too."

"I... wow... That... that makes me really happy to hear you say that. I would be honored."

"Thank you, Jack." I smiled and hugged him.

"You're very welcome," I said and hugged her back. "I think of you as a daughter. I'm really happy for you."

"Thanks. I'm not sure where they are right now but Gabe and Chase love you too."


"They had better not be at their fish camp on your wedding day, I'll skin them alive."

"Knowing them, they probably are."



"I'm surprised Quin's not out hunting to be honest, wedding day or not."
