I hugged her tight "I'm relieved to be home, I'm not leaving again. If I do it sure as hell won't be to go back there."

"Please don't ever leave again," I said, my arms still around him. "I really care about you Asher. And... and your son or daughter will be here before you know it."

"I know, El. I'm going to be here for you guys, I swear it. I wouldn't have even made it this far if it wasn't for you."

"Yeah you would've, Asher. You never have given yourself enough credit."

"I wanted to die, Elena. You helped bring me out of that, and you were the only one who could help me."

"And I would do it again, a hundred times over. You're an amazing person. And you mean too much to too many people."

"And all of you mean a lot to me, I've done everything I can to help anyone who needed it."

"I know. You're always looking out for everyone. Maybe it's time you started looking out for yourself though," I said and smiled at him.

"I completely agree, you won't hear any arguments about that one. You, Timber, and the babies are my main focus right now."

I smiled and looked at Timber. "Just imagine if one of us has a girl. And we think he's protective now."



"But if we have boys, they'll be just like him, so I don't know which would be worse," I teased and put my arm around him.

"Poor kids." I teased.

I laughed. "What are you talking about baby? They're going to have the most amazing father ever," I said and kissed him.

"I've learned from the best, I couldn't have asked for a better Dad."

I smiled. "I agree. He's been like a father to me too, after my dad passed."

"He loves you and Alicia like you're his own, that's true." I said "I'm going to let you rest up now, and I'll see you tomorrow okay? Smells like Trent is cooking you up something good."

"Okay. You go home and get some rest too. Or not," I said with a smirk and hugged him again. "I'm really... really glad you came back."

"Me too, El. Have a goodnight, okay?" I said and kissed her forehead. We said goodbye to Trent and left.

I got up to pee for the 200th time and sighed as I laid back down. "This baby really needs to hurry up and get here. I am tired of feeling like a beached whale."

I couldn't help but laugh "It's stubborn, gets it honest too."

"Yeah you can say that again. Definitely a Jacobs," I said and rubbed my belly. He sat down beside me and I laid my head on his lap. "Are you sure you're still... okay with all this? Being with me when... I'm having another man's baby?"

"I won't lie that at first I wasn't sure how to swallow it. I wanted to be with you, I knew that. I've been a real asshole a few times and I'm sorry for that. I was upset when he left again to go find Quin, I've just been a real emotional mess I suppose. I was upset at him for leaving you and the rest of us, and upset that Quin had took off but I couldn't imagine a world without either of them in it. They're good friends to have around."

"Yeah they are. That... doesn't really answer my question though," I said and looked up at him. "Are you gonna be okay being... stepdad to Asher's baby?"

"Yes." I said, looking down at her and running my fingers through her hair "I can't wait to be a stepdad."

I smiled. "That makes me so happy," I said and sat up to kiss him then frowned a little when I felt my back get tight.

I watched her facial expression change "Are you alright?"
