Trent & Elena

"Yeah just... my back's a little tight that's all. I'm fine."

"Are you sure? I can get my Mom to come and check you."

"If you think she should, but I really think I'm fine. I'm not due yet," I said and tried to reach around to rub my back when it got tighter. "Damn that's uncomfortable. Maybe I slept wrong."

"I've been around my Mom long enough to know you can have contractions in your back too."

I looked at him. "Do... do you think I'm in labor?"

"I don't know...it could be false alarm...should we wait?"

"I don't know. Maybe we should play it safe. Could you go get her just in case?"

"Do you want me to get Asher too?"

"Yeah just in case. If I'm really in labor, I don't want him to miss the baby being born."

"Alright, I'll hurry back." I said and rushed out of the cabin to find my Mom and Asher.

I laid my head back and took slow deep breaths while I waited for him to come back.

I got Elena's and went inside "Elena?"

"I'm in the bedroom," I called out and winced when I felt a pain go through me. "Where's Trent?" I asked when he came in.

"He's getting Pepper, he'll be here soon. Are you alright?" I asked, taking her hand.

I nodded. "Yes, I'm fi- oh god," I said and held my stomach as another pain went through me.

"I hate seeing you this way." I told her "What should I do?"

"I remember when my mom was in labor with Alicia... this is just the beginning," I said and rubbed my belly. "Could you help me sit up and rub my back? It's killing me."

"Yeah, of course." I said and pulled her up gently and started rubbing her back. "Elena...I'm a damn train wreck right now. I hope it isn't showing too much."


I got my Mom from the infirmary and she gathered up the supplies she would need and followed me back to the house.


I followed Trent to the bedroom where Elena and Asher were waiting "So he or she has decided to come early? Not surprising considering the genetics." I smiled.

I smiled. "You're fine Asher. I'm just giving birth, nothing to be nervous about," I said, deciding not to mention I was a nervous wreck too. I nodded at Pepper as I heard the door again and Alicia and Timber came in. "Yeah, it started slow but the contractions are... they're getting stronger already," I said, cursing when another one hit.

"Alright, let's get you undressed so I can start checking everything. All of the visitors can wait in the living room and we'll keep you posted."

I nodded as most everyone left. "I just want... Trent and... and Asher in here," I said, taking deep breaths between words.

"We aren't going anywhere, you know that."

"I know," I said and moaned in pain as another contraction hit, harder than the last one.

I started undressing her from the waist down and pulled her legs up and apart. "This might be uncomfortable for a moment. Okay?"

"Okay. Wh-what are you gonna do?"
