Brady & Autumn Dove

"It's just been a rough winter and I think everyone is occupied with daily needs. But they seem to be okay. I ran into Victoria today and she was absolutely glowing. Meeting back up with Tyrone really did her some good."

"He was always miserable when they were separated. Which was a lot, they fought all the time remember?"

I nodded "I remember it very well. Victoria had a difficult time letting Jasper go."

"Yeah she did. To the bitter end, though I never could understand why."

"You remember that has wasn't always a monster. Of course, that doesn't excuse his actions...but if we had been placed in that situation I would have loved you until the end too."

I sighed. "Same here. But that would never be us. I would never do anything like the things he did. Honestly I feel sorry for her. She suffered as much as we did in some ways."

"I know...it's sad. She watched him change into a monster and there was nothing she could do for him. She suffered." I said and then smiled "You seen Ty's face when she showed up, right? Priceless."

I chuckled. "Yeah, I was surprised he didn't topple right over out of shock."

I laughed a softly "She was happy to see him too, I could tell. They've made up quite nicely." I said and looked to Winter and Chad "Our generation had it's fair share of problems. That's why guys shouldn't give up on anything. It all works out the way it should."

I didn't really believe that, but I didn't want to say so. "Maybe you're right," I said quietly.

"I'm your mother and I read minds."

"Well you're Super Mom, it comes with the job description."

"That's right so I always remember I know everything. Even when you assume I don't." I said and winked at her.

Oh god what did she know? "Well you do have eyes in the back of your head," I said after a minute.

"Are you guys staying the night? Please say yes, we haven't all been in the house together in so long."

"If you want me to, of course I will. I miss us all being together," I said and looked at Chad.



I felt like everyone's eyes were on me for a minute. "Sure Mom. I'll stay."

"Thank you so much. I'll make a big breakfast in the morning too."

"Already looking forward to it," I said, happy to see her smiling again.

"Good. I'll get these dishes cleaned up if everyone is finished."

"Let me help you Mom," I said and got up to help clear the dishes away.

Winter and I cleaned everything up and then we all sat around talking some more until I seem Chad yawn. "Someone's getting tired. We should all get to bed."

"I'm fine Mom, I'm not tired," I said, deciding not to tell them I hadn't slept well in months.





"Uh huh, whatever. Go on to bed, both of you."



"We're not five anymore Dad," I teased. "But I am getting tired so good night both of you," I said and hugged them both.

"I love you both so much. Goodnight." I said, hugging and then kissing their cheeks.

I told the kids goodnight and they headed off to bed. I picked up Dove and carried her into our bedroom, putting her down on the bed so we could both get undressed. "That was really nice," I said when we'd laid down.

"Yeah, it was. I've missed our family dinners so much."
