Lane Wallace

I smiled at him. "You love to tease me, don't you?" 

"I love it very much, actually." I said and winked at her "But I'm trying to be a gentleman."

"I thought I already told you I didn't want you to be a gentleman," I teased and smirked a little.

"You did but I respect you too much not to be."

I smiled. "Well you're a very worthy man then."

"I'm doing my best." I smiled but to be honest it was proving to be quite the challenge.

"Well if it gets to be too difficult, you already know the solution. Just saying," I said and smiled at him. "I definitely want to do this again sometime. But next time you have to let me cook for you."

Winter

"Alright, it's a deal." I stood up and went over to her lifting her up into my chest and kissed her cheek "It's late, I should see you home."

I smiled and kissed him softly. "Unfortunately I think you're right. My father will have a conniption fit if he doesn't see me come home," I said and rolled my eyes.

"I'd like to meet your family one day."

"Well you can meet them when you take me home. My brother doesn't really come around but you can meet my parents."

"Sounds good to me, I'll get to meet your brother eventually."

I smiled. "Yes you will," I said and took his hand as we left the cabin.



I was almost to the storage shed when I saw Lane and a woman leaving his cabin. She wasn't from our camp and as much as I tried to hold back it pissed me the fuck off. "What the hell is she doing here?" I said as I stormed over to them.

What the hell? I pulled Winter behind me a little "She joined me for dinner, is that a problem?" I asked.

"Yes it is. The rules have been changed around here and I expected that everyone knew by bower. No visitors from the other camp, and none of us go over there. None," I said, glaring at her. "No exceptions."

Carlisle

"Why? Did something happen? That isn't fair, you can't make calls like that. Who we see isn't your choice." I glared at him "I don't mean to disrespect you, Carlisle but please move so I can walk her back home."

"Actually I do make calls like that. I am the leader of this camp, and I call the shots Lane. My son is dead because of the people in her camp."



"What...?"

"What are you talking about? Diego? What happened?"

"He's dead, that's what happened. And I'm sure she knows all the details. I'm not going to talk about it right now."



"What are you talking about? I don't know anything about it. I've been spending time with Lane, that's it."



"And that ends. Now. Let's go," I said and grabbed her arm, leading her away from Lane and in the direction of her camp.



"What the hell do you think you're doing? Let go of me!" I yelled, trying to get him off of me but he was much stronger than I was.

I heard the yelling and picked up Gabriella from her cradle and hurried outside. As soon as I stepped out I watched some of the boys grab a hold of Lane as Carlisle was leading a young girl away "Carlisle!?" I yelled.


"Get the fuck off me!" I yelled as I struggled against them.

"No, they're gonna hold you until I get this piece of trash out of our camp. I don't want any of them here, none of them, not after what happened. Be glad all I'm doing is taking her home."

"Carlisle!" I yelled again, walking faster. "Carlisle, stop!"

"No!" I yelled, not turning around or even looking over my shoulder when I heard Sherri. "Take her back inside Sherri. I'll be back soon," I said, continuing to haul her away from camp, ignoring all her efforts to get away.



"If you do not let go of me right now, you are NOT going to want to come face to face with my father. Let GO of me!!"

I called one of the girls from her cabin and placed the baby in her arms "Take care of her until I get back." I told her and left to catch up with Carlisle.


I didn't know what the fuck was going on, apparently all hell had broken loose while I was gone. I was going to go after the girl until one of the boys slugged Lane in the face. I came out of the woods with my knife drawn "Let him go. Now."


"Awesome timing, Jamie." I said as they reluctantly dropped my arms and let me go.


"Get the hell out of here before I start spilling you bitches wide open." I wasn't even close to kidding and they knew it. There was a reason I had always kept to myself and this was one of them. I couldn't stand these pricks.

He ignored everything going on behind us, ignored every attempt to get him the fuck off me. I reached around and managed to slap him hard in the face and the next thing I knew I was jerked and felt his elbow connect with my face. I cried out, putting my free hand over my face as blood gushed from me, not sure if it came from my nose or my lip or both.



"I didn't mean to do that. If you'd stopped struggling that wouldn't have happened. Now let's go."
