Molly Deveraux

"Yes you could've. You made a promise to me that it wouldn't happen again. Then you lied to me and snuck around behind my back, and for what? You could've gotten yourself killed. Tywin would've executed you if he found out and he still might. It'll be a miracle if Robert keeps this to himself."

Damien

"Robert wouldn't do something to endanger me like that. Give him some credit, Damien. I'm truly sorry that I lied to you but I'm not sorry for doing what I could for him." I said and wiped my eyes. "I couldn't stop thinking about what it was like for us. How unfair it was, and the same went for Obedia. He didn't deserve to lay there and die the way he did."

"And nothing that you did changed anything Molly. What if. Someone besides Robert had seen you? What then? Do you not care what could have happened? Or maybe you just care more about a dead man than you do about the fact that you lied and hid things from me. Again."

Damien

"Again? I didn't realize I should have told you the first time considering I wasn't even sure about what our relationship really was." 

"It obviously doesn't matter to you what you should or shouldn't do, you're gonna do whatever the hell you want regardless of the consequences or who it impacts. You can't deny that you lied to me and hid shit from me though. Honestly and trust don't seem to mean a god damned thing to you anyway." 

Damien

Hie eyes felt like they were cutting right through me. "What do you want me to say, Damien? I'm sorry, alright? I'm sorry that I've upset you so much."

"Sorry isn't good enough Molly. Not anymore." 

Damien

"What do you mean?" I asked, feeling shaky again.

"I mean... I can't do this anymore. If you want to risk everything we have and everything we've worked for, betray the man that saved us from that hovel we were in, that's on you. I won't have any part of it "

Damien

Even though I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces, I looked down at the floor "Alright. Maybe that's for the best then." It was stupid to ever think Damien and I could last anyway. Not with a woman like me, I would forever be damaged goods.

I saw the look in her eyes and shook my head. "Stop it. I know you better than that and it has nothing to do with that. You're a wonderful woman. And I love you. You just... you care too much about things you should just... leave alone. You care to the point that... you'd lie to me, and hide things from me, and... that hurts more than anything." 

Damien

"Don't do that. Don't you dare say you love me when you're about to walk out of here and never look back."

"I do love you Molly," I said quietly. "But... your on a path of destruction that I can't pull you away from. You won't let me. I'm not sure you'd let anyone. I can't let you pull me down with you though. I won't throw away everything because you can't get your head on straight."

Damien

"Taking food to a dying man is a path of destruction? I must say, I've heard it all now."

Molly

"Associating with a man on death row who's forbidden visitors, where if you're caught it means death, to you and to me. Lying to me and hiding things from me, things that could get both of us killed. Yeah, that's a path of destruction."

Damien

"I never meant for you to get involved or to even know anything about it. I did know the consequences which is why I tried keeping it to myself."

Molly

"Even after I knew about it it didn't change anything."

Damien

"I tried to stay away." I whispered and looked back over at him. " Don't leave me, Damien. Please."

Molly

"How can I be with you when I can't even trust you."

Damien

I couldn't hold back the tears any longer and shrugged slightly "I said I was sorry. I don't know what else you want to hear."

Molly

"There really isn't anything to say," I said, her tears breaking my heart.

Damien

"Then you should go. I'll um...I'll send someone else to your room from now on. You won't have to cross my path unless you absolutley have to."

Molly

"I... I'm sorry Molly," I said then left before she could say anything else.

Damien

I all but collapsed on the bed and started sobbing into my pillow. First Obedia and now Damien. Would I ever stop losing people I care about?

Molly

It was a few hours later before I left for Molly's. I didn't have any idea what I would say to her, although I still had plans to beat the shit out of Ryker. This wasn't going to end well. It started to rain on the way there and it was pouring when I got to her place. I got out of the car and just stood there, quickly getting soaked. God what was I doing here.

I had just made some coffee and poured myself a hot cup when I walked by my living room window and noticed a figure outside. When I looked closely, it was Damien standing in the middle of a rain storm on my pathway. "What is he thinking?" I asked myself.

I saw her in the window, standing there, more beautiful than ever. Still no idea what I was going to say, I walked slowly up the sidewalk and knocked on the door.

Damien

I hurried to the door and opened it up "I didn't think you'd actually come."

I didn't say anything for a minute. Just stared at her. "Don't...."

Damien

Was he drunk? "Don't, what?"

"Don't... marry him. Don't marry him."

I took his hand and pulled him inside and out of the rain. I didn't know what to say. Just earlier he acted like he couldn't stand the sight of me. "But...why?"

"Because... I still love you." You could have heard a pin drop with how quiet it got. "Do you have a towel? I'm dripping all over your floor."
