"I don't want to run anymore. For once in my life, I just want some peace. Call me a quitter of you want but that's what I'm doing. I quit. I'm not fighting the Capitol anymore..I can't. We've lost too much, Quin. We lost our baby...if I would have stayed here to begin with then I wouldn't have met Diego at all and none of those awful and terrible things would have happened because of me."

"They weren't because of you! We lost the baby because of me! How can you say that bull shit anyway, do you honestly regret all that time we were together out there? Living together? Getting married? Do you regret that? You know what, never mind. Fuck it. If you don't want to go, find. Go back inside and fuck your new husband when he comes home. I hope you're very happy together," I said and turned to go.

"Is that what you think of me!? That I would just hop on any man that would have me!? Fuck you, Quin! You're being selfish, I hope you know that. But hey, what else is new? You always hold your feelings above everyone else's!"

"Oh yeah, cause that's what I always fucking do! I never put anyone above myself! I guess I just went off and came back looking like this for the hell of it! I took bullets and beatings when we lived here because they fucking felt good! Yeah, that's exactly who I fucking am! I'm out of here. You do what you want. If you change your mind, you know where to find me. Have fun with Benjamin. Don't watch tv if they catch me, wouldn't want you to watch them chop my head off." 

"Your little expedition is another perfect example of putting your feelings of revenge above other people's feelings. Gee, I wonder who? Maybe it was your pregnant fiance at the time! Or how you insisted on hating Brett for caring about your mother! Let's also not forget about the way you've treated Parker because he fucking loved you and thought he was doing the right thing at the time! Or what about the way your treated my brother over Raine? Because Quin's angry brotherly feelings were so much more superior than my brother who was almost fucking shot! Call yourself a Bast if you want but you are hard headed and stubborn just like the Simmons men and anyone will agree to that! And if you want me to fuck Benjamin so bad, maybe I will! I see the way he looks at me, I'm sure he would gladly oblige!"

"Oh well I guess I should've just left all four of them alive! I'm sure you'd love being neighbors with the men that raped your mom and sister in law and beat the shit out of your brothers! And you know what, go right the fuck ahead! I hope you enjoy every minute of acting like a whore! I'd say see you around, but we both know that's not gonna fucking happen! Have a nice life!" I said and left.

"Yeah...like that's ever going to happen." I muttered and went back inside, slamming the door behind me. I ran upstairs to my bedroom and locked myself in.

I got home and it was eerily quiet. "Aurora?" I called out. No one answered so I went through the house. Nowhere. She was nowhere to be found. "Mother fucker," I cursed and went out the back door. I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye and turned towards the woods. Another flash of something through the trees. I dropped my bag and took off into the woods.

I was hurrying through the woods when I heard something coming up behind me. I turned to see what or who it was but they wrapped their arms around me before I could and muffled my scream with their hand. As I was being turned around I realized it was Ben and he uncovered my mouth when our eyes met. "What the hell!?"

"I should be asking you the same question. What the hell do you think you're doing?" I said, not letting go of her.

"Obviously, I was leaving."

"Like hell you are. Get back in the house. Now. And don't think I won't throw you over my shoulder and carry you in there myself." 

"Please. Just...just please let me go." I said and tried to pull away from him. I had to see Quin and talk to him and make things right before it was too late.

"I can't do that. Do you have any idea what Tywin would do to you if one of the other soldiers caught you trying to escape? You're lucky it was me that found you and not anyone else. Get back inside Aurora. Please." 

"I don't care what happens to me anymore. I've been through too much to care." I said and finally broke free of his hold and reluctantly started walking back to the house.

"I care," I said as I followed her back to the house. "And I don't want you hurt anymore than you already have been."

Nothing could fix the emotional damage I had been through, no matter what he did. Once we were back inside I put my bag down "Quin came to see me."

"I figured that would happen. He hasn't been caught yet." 

"He wanted me to leave with him and I said no. We had a huge argument and after some thought I...I wanted to make things right with him. We're always at odds though. We've been that way ever since we met." 

"Some couples are like that. It doesn't mean you love each other any less though," I said and looked at her. "Why did you tell him no?" 

"I'm tired of running. That's all I've done for a long time now. He hates me for it, he'll never forgive me."

"Yes he will. If he really loves you." I sighed and went to get us both something to drink, then went to sit beside her. "I don't want you to be unhappy here. I know it's gonna take time but..." I let my sentence hang, not knowing what to say.

"But, what?" I asked, softly.

"But..." I paused. "I would love it if... you would try... to let me try to make you happy." 

"I um... I will. I'll try." 



"Thank you," I said and reached over to squeeze her hand for just a moment. "Are you hungry?"
