Training Center

We got to the training center the same time as District One and Six, we all went inside doing our best not to acknowledge each other.

I watched my tributes training, then slowly moseyed over to Asher. "I see they haven't disposed of you yet. Pity," I said, not taking my eyes off Bastian and Reese.

"I see you haven't dried up from an STD yet. Pity." I replied, not even looking at her.

"At least I know how to get my tributes home. Unlike some, I'm very selective in my endeavors. It seems to have suited me quite well so far. How many tributes from your district have gone home since you became mentor? Oh, that's right. None. Hopefully that streak of yours will continue."

"Not my fault the tributes were too scared out of their minds to do much. At least I don't go around fucking half of the Capitol to succeed, I'd rather fail than be the Capitol's bitch unlike you."

"I'm nobody's bitch. Contrary to popular belief, I don't fuck people to win, not that my sex life is any of your business. I'm very persuasive, I know how to get sponsors. And it helps to be a personal friend of the Game Makers." I smirked. "It's not my fault all your tributes have been worthless cowards."

"Listen, you arrogant fucking cunt." I faced her "The lower districts don't start training before they can barely walk, we have to work for everything we have. We have other things to fucking worry about like keeping our family's safe and fed. You speak of cowards, the only cowards I've ever met are those like your drunk, shitty Peacekeeper father who runs around hurting women because they're too god damn cowardly to pick on someone their own size. Too bad they tie me up when they get bored or bitch you and many others would be orphans. Stop bragging to me like it makes you special, you look stupid as fuck. And weak for that matter if you can't accomplish anything by yourself. Stupid whore."

I smirked. "Such a temper. You seem to have a problem keeping it under control, but that's obvious enough. If you could keep your mouth shut, half of what happens to your family could be avoided. You call us cowards and say we're weak? At least those in my district know how to keep their women safe. But you'd know all about that, wouldn't you Asher. How long has it been since your mother died?"

"My mother was keeping her family safe, she died for her three sons. You know nothing of family, or the values of it. Step away from Linna, I don't hit women but I would surely make an exception for you and fuck the consequences." I muttered, I could feel my blood boiling and my face turning red.

"Fuck the consequences huh?" I laughed softly. "I do know about family, I happen to be very close to my father. And I can be very vindictive. You might want to keep that in mind. You should watch your step Asher. One of these days you're going to piss off the wrong person, and I'd hate to see what happens when that day comes," I said, a hint of sarcasm in my tone.

"Your daddy should tell you that I don't take kindly to threats, bitch." I said grabbed her by the throat and got into her face "If anything happens to my family you're the first person I'll come looking for." I said shoving her away from me "Keep your god damn distance!"

Two Peacekeepers ran up and grabbed him, jerking him away from me. I rubbed my throat and looked at him. "Put your hands on me again, and I'll gladly slit your throat in your sleep myself," I said quietly.

"Bring it on, you couldn't handle me in the arena what makes you think you can now!?" I said jerking my arms out of their grasp "Get the fuck off me." I glared at her "Keep. Your. Distance."

"Gladly. The stench is becoming unbearable. Oh, and your memory is lacking. The way I remember it, you're the one that couldn't handle me. Have a nice day," I said and turned back to watch Bastian and Reese.

"Oh, I'd love to face off with you again. Finish what I started." I spat, and turned away from her, watching the tributes. Ezra was watching me and I shook my head at her.

"You only wish you could've stopped me from slicing your fellow tributes throat. Too bad the smell of blood excites me. It was such a pleasure to take her life."

She was just trying to get to me, that's what she wanted "You think mentioning her is going to bother me? It doesn't. I knew what was coming in the games."

"It doesn't bother you? And you call me a cold hearted bitch." I smirked, still not looking at him. "She was pregnant. Wasn't she."

"I don't know, was she?"

"You know she was. How does it feel that you never got to hold your child? Was it even yours? Word has it she was quite the little whore."



It took everything in me not to say something, but I knew I couldn't. I swallowed my words and turned back to my training.

"Speaking of whore, how's Allistair? Have some self respect Linna, stop using that cave you call a vagina to get your way."

"Oh I don't. I use the cash in my bank account. You wouldn't know anything about that though would you. And a whore is someone who sleeps around. At least I have the decency to stay with one person at a time. You wouldn't know anything about that either though. You're quite famous with the whores around the districts."

"Jealous?" I smirked "Sweetheart, I don't need money to make me happy or get my way. I'm perfectly content."

"You have nothing that I would ever be jealous of. I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole no matter what I was offered."
