"You thought I was Jasper and...you didn't remember living here with Brown Eyes. You ran her out of the house, so she had to come and get me."

"I don't... I don't understand," I mumbled and slowly ran a hand through my hair. "Headaches started after... the shit with Jasper and Cade. Got worse after... that shit with Diego. I started getting confused. Would go in rooms and... wouldn't remember what I was going. Just started getting sick yesterday though. Never had a headache that bad."

God, that didn't sound good. "I'll talk to Pepper and see what she says about it. In the meantime I really want you to rest."

"Mmk. I'm not... going anywhere right now," I mumbled.

"Nope. Not even if you wanted to." I said and then smiled "Timber had the baby this evening. Darlene too."

"Oh wow... Damn I'm sorry I missed that. Congrats. They okay?"

"Oh, come on. You know I'm not worried about that. And they're perfect. Alyssa and Adam, so I have a little sister now. Poor kid, right?"

I smiled a little. "She'll be spoiled rotten. Gonna get annoyed at you all when she's older though."

"Yeah, but she'll get over it." I smiled and Aurora stepped out of the cabin to go get more water. "Before she comes back, I'm going to let you know that Brown Eyes is scared. She doesn't know what's going on and it's worrying her."

I sighed. "I wish I had answers for her. Fact is... I'm scared too. You know me Asher. I don't get scared."

"And you normally don't attack me or confuse me with Jasper so...yeah I'm scared too but we'll figure this out together. Are you good for me to leave so you and her can talk? I'll be back in the morning bright and early."

I nodded. "Yeah. I'll be fine," I said then looked at him. "What if I flip out again?"

"Brown Eyes will come and get me." I told him but was honestly worried about her. Quin had gotten violent and didn't even realize it. What if something happened? God, I felt like such a douche for feeling that way.

I saw the look in his eyes and turned my head away. "Do we have any handcuffs lying around? Or a belt or something? I want you to tie me to the bed. Not trying to be kinky either, so get your head out of the gutter."

"I'm sure I can find something but Q...I won't feel right about it. But...I don't know what to say. That's a damned first."

"If I... if I flip out again... what happens if she can't get to you in time? I would die if anything happened to her. And if I'm the one that hurt her..." I said and let my sentence trail off. "Just do it. Please."

"She isn't going to like you being tied up like some animal but I'll do it." I sighed and got up, pulling my belt off and then grabbed his from a table. I tightened them around his wrists and then tied them to the bed frame. "How's that?"

"I'm as comfy as can be. Bout ready to star in my own porno movie," I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah, or action movie when Brown Eyes walks in here and kicks my ass."

"Now that'd be a sight to see. It was my idea Asher, no need for her to get upset at you. It's for her safety, but you know how well that'll go over if I tell her that."

"I know." I said when the front door opened and Brown Eyes came back in with fresh water.


"What the hell is that?" I asked.

"This is... us making sure I don't hurt anyone. If I flip out again."

"You mean me, right? You won't hurt me Quin. That isn't necessary."

"Isn't it? Look at Asher's face and tell me it's not necessary. I thought he was fucking Jasper. I'm... I'm fucked in the head Aurora. I'm not taking a chance on you getting hurt."

"Don't say that about yourself. You're going to get better." You have to. I thought to myself.
