"Yes he is." I sighed. "Run after his mistress and the guard that ran off with her. And he's seeking out the district runaways too. He had Micah draw up arrest warrants."

"That's....the most fucked up idea ever. After everything that happened last night with those district guys...arresting the runaways and bringing them back is going to make it worse." I sighed "Wait. The Guard? You mean, Ian? Ian and Joy ran away together?"

"I agree, it's quite possibly the worst idea he's ever had. And yes. Ian has run off with Joy, and now he's going to be put to death for his stupidity."

"That stupid son of a bitch." I muttered and sighed again. "Get ready boys, because the shit around here is really about to hit the fan. If they even come back alive that is. Have you read anything about those runaways? They aren't exactly defenseless."

"They wouldn't have been able to get away from here if they were. The question is, were they even able to survive out there. And it wasn't just adults and teenagers that left, there were children, babies. There's no telling what they ran into out there."

"That's true enough as well. Tywin could be chasing ghosts for all we know. But what if he does find them? And he brings them back? There will be riots every fucking where."

"I know. But I also know there's no talking sense into him. We have to be ready. This is going to get very ugly, very quickly."

"You said Micah accompanied him. What about Tyrion and Lydia?"

"He wants Lydia here with me. Learning how to rule in his absence. Tyrion he couldn't seem to care less about. When he couldn't find him last night... he basically said to hell with him. Said he doesn't care about his family," I said and poured the three of us a drink."





"He just doesn't want to get in the middle of his daddy's bullshit. Nothing wrong with that," I said, taking a drink out of the glass he handed me.

"Yeah, I can't say I blame him really. I'm pretty sure he at least cares about his siblings though." I grabbed my glass and took a drink. "Why in the hell has he chosen Lydia? Why not Micah? That makes no sense to me considering he's the oldest of the three."

"I have no idea. It makes no sense to me either. She's too young to have that burden on her shoulders. Not to mention how... impulsive she's been lately."

"What do you mean? What has she been up to?"

"You mean besides sneaking out almost every night? Her father may not have noticed, but I did. She doesn't do that anymore though. Not since he caught her fighting in the Pits. Why do you think she has a bodyguard now."



"Are you serious?"



"Very."

"Shit. I just thought he was being cautious. She's young anyway, he puts too much on her shoulders."

"Yes he does. I can't believe he was surprised at all that she started to rebel."

"I can't believe he thought Joy Anna would just remain his happy little mistress."

"Neither can I. Can you imagine being stuck with someone, with no promise of ever getting married or having children of your own? It would be maddening."

"He should have seen it coming, she's been acting out for awhile now too."

"Yes she has. Everyone can see it but him, it seems like. As long as he is happy though, and as long as things are going his way, he doesn't seem to care about anything else. Or anyone, for that matter."

"And I can't be the only one who thinks his rules are bullshit, right?"

"Oh no, you're far from the only one."

"I know he's always been decent to us. He isn't...completely awful. But he's made a lot of questionable choices."

"He is a good man to a fault. He is just a selfish man. And he is getting more so every day."

"Indeed. So. What do we need to do first?"

"In regards to what?" I asked and refilled our glasses.
