Dungeon

"Pretty much. This is gonna get interesting. Quickly." I looked over at Lea. She hadn't said a word. "Hey... are you alright?" 

"I'm fine.I'm just worried about you guys with your wounds and all. This isn't the cleanest place."

"No it's not. They haven't hurt you any... have they?" 

"No, he's just trying to scare me."

I nodded. "Alright. Have they told you what they want or anything? What are they trying to accomplish?" 

"They want Aurora for killing Diego."

"He was a scumbag. Who are those dickheads? If anyone, I would've expected Carlisle to be behind something like that," I said and looked over at Chase, worried that he hadn't woken up yet.

"He is, I have no doubt. I just think we're seeing a side of him that we haven't before and he's recruited little henchmen."

"Great, that's all we fucking need." I reached over with my foot and nudged Chase's leg, the only part of him I could reach. "Chase... buddy, come on, you gotta wake up." 

"I'm getting there." I finally muttered. I had been in and out of it and I could hear them talking but I couldn't wrap my brain around the words or make myself speak. "How shitty do I look?"

Like road kill, but I wasn't going to tell him that. "You're gonna be fine. How are you feeling?"

"Like I just got jumped by two dick wads in the woods." I tired to sit up but that wasn't happening yet. I groaned a little and laid back down in the dirt. "I walked up on them after they had..." Fuck, it hurt to talk. "After they had knocked you out."

"Easy now, just relax," I said, holding back a wince when I moved the wrong way. "We'rr gona have to work together and figure out a way out of this. They're not gonna get what they want, so things are gonna turn a lot uglier, and fast."

"I was on my way to find Gabe because he never came back home. Is he here? Is he okay?" 

"He's not here, so I'm assuming that for the time being he's alright. I don't know what they're plans are."

"Son of a bitch."

I didn't know what to say, so I just laid my head back, trying to regain my strength, and praying we found a way out of this soon.

"Where did they get these damn chains anyway?"

"Beats the hell out of me. It doesn't look like anything they could've made. They wouldn't be able to find the materials out here anyway." 

"So, they've been looted from somewhere."

"Had to have been. The only other explanation is someone brought them from Kampfer, and that doesn't make a whole lot of sense." 

"To my knowledge we didn't bring anything like that with us."

"And we didn't have anything here. I wonder how long they've had this place down here too. It's obviously man made. And whoever did it, knew what they were doing." 

"Do you think they were working on this before Diego was killed?"

"It's hard to tell. Depends on how many people they had working on it, if they went non stop or what. I was in construction back in Kampfer, but that was a long fucking time ago."
