"None of us would give any of the others up. They're wasting their time." 

"This...this can't be happening to me again. I'd rather die than be locked up down here."


"Don't talk like that, it's going to be alright. Brooke, I promise we will find a way out."

"Yup, we will. Or they'll find us first. They're going to notice we're gone and they're going to come find us. You just have to stay calm Brooke. I know it's hard, but I have faith in you." 

"I killed five of them in the woods when they tried to jump me. Carlisle may not waste time wanting me dead."

"No one's going to kill you Brooke. I promise." 

"You can't promise that, Jack. But it's okay, I know we're in some serious shit here." 

"And we're gonna do whatever we have to to get ourselves out of it. Everything's gonna be alright." 

I nodded in agreement but I wasn't so sure. I was trying to control my breathing to get myself under control or I'd be useless if we did somehow manage an escape.

"Brooke, do you have a favorite spot? Somewhere that's special to you?"

"You might say that, I guess."

"Then I want you to close your eyes, forget about all this. Picture yourself there, picture every detail you can."

I knew she was right, Jon used to tell me the same things when he first found me and I couldn't get through a whole night without waking up into full panic mode. I closed my eyes and tried to find focus.

"That's right. Just relax... think about your special place... nothing else... Think about how it smells, how it looks, how it feels. Shut everything else out," I said, trying to make my voice as soothing as possible.

I watched as Caitlin helped Brooke calm down. Carter really wasn't going to be happy about this not to mention Victoria.


I looked up at Jack "One thing is for certain. Jon will tear this forest up looking for her, maybe he'll find us soon."

"That's right hun, you're doing great. Just breathe," I said quietly. 



"I hope he does. I don't want to imagine how pissed off everyone's going to be about this though." 

"What are we going to do in the meantime, Jack?"

"We're going to do what we can to come up with a plan. We have to figure out something, there has to be a way out of here. I refuse to believe that we're going to die down here. On top of that..." I lowered my voice. "We're going to do our best to keep the focus off them, and on us." 

"We can try but what if it makes matters worse?"

"I don't know if it will or not, but we have to at least try," I said as I heard rustling above us.

"Everyone try to stay calm."

"Just keep your heads down, don't say anything," I said as the two came down.



"Wakey wakey," I said, smirking at Lea as Dec walked slowly over to the redhead. "How are you all holding up? Tongues feeling any looser?" 

They waited for us to speak but we all remained silent.

"Is this your new game? You think if you don't speak at all, it'll save you?"



I stared him down as he walked up to me. His eyes were dark, menacing, like a deep void that could swallow you whole, and he had a smirk on his face that sent a shiver through me.

They all still remained silent after Rhett's question and I just shook my head. "Tsk tsk." I kneeled down in front of her and moved a lock of hair away from her face. "What about you, sweetheart? Do you have anything to say?" I asked her.

"I don't think you want to hear anything I have to say."
