Garrison & Brooke

"We'll figure it out. I want to make sure you both have everything you'll need," I said as I finished eating." 

"Thank you for that."

"You're welcome," I said and smiled at her. "Did you get enough to eat?"

Garrison

"Yeah, I did. It was really good."

"Good, I'm glad. We should get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow."

Garrison

"We do, I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight."

"Good night Brooke." I watched her walk upstairs then vleaned up the kitchen a little before gping to bed myself.

Garrison

I heard the sirens and was ready to go before the call came through. "Brooke, I have to go, there's an emergency. I'll be back as soon as I can. Stay inside and don't let anyone in."

"Wait, where are those coming from?"

I sighed. "They're coming from the prison. I don't know what's going on, but I have go to." 

"Be careful." I told him and he left.

I was cleaning up and found some papers that went in Brooke's office. I took them in there and put them on her desk, then turned to leave, accidentally knocking over a box. I went to pick it up to put it back and the lid came off. There were letters inside. Letters from the prison... I knew I shouldn't, but I couldn't help myself. I took out the one on top and opened it, reading what was inside.

Daphne and I got home and I smiled as she immediately ran to the back yard to play. I opened the front door and sat my bag down. "Garrison?"

I came into the living room, holding the letter, and just stared at her. "Brooke."

I looked at him and then looked at the letter he was holding. From his tone I knew what it was. "Feeling nosey today, I see." I said, crossing my arms.

"I wasn't looking for it. I was putting something away in your office and the box fell over. You're weren't exactly hiding them. My question is... why the fuck do you have them? Why is he writing you?"

"Why do you care?"

"Why wouldn't I?"

"You tell me. Because living with you has been like living with a roomie all this time. Not a husband."

"And who's fault is that. After finding this, I know exactly the reason why you never let me get close to you."

"I have a history with him...I can't help that."

"But you can help that you lied to me. That you kept things from me. You can certainly help that."

I ignored what he said and walked towards him "Give me the letter back." I demanded, holding out my hand.

"No. Not until we talk about this. And we are going to talk about this."

"There isn't anything to talk about. We have a history and sometimes he writes to me. There is no harm in that."
