Caleb & Ezra

"Wow." I sighed and didn't even know what to say for a minute. "It was a fight, Ezra. They happen and I'm sure he'll come around. What about the house though? Did you guys do this?"

"I did... after he left. He called me an... ungrateful bitch and... everything else he said...  I just... I lost it. Cut my hand cause I grabbed a knife by accident. I broke the window in the kitchen." 

"Damn. Alright, I'll help you get this all cleaned up and fix the door. I won't leave you alone without a door you can actually lock. Plus if Asher comes by and sees this mess he might lose his shit."

"You don't have to... to do that... I... I'll be fine... I'll be fine," I said quietly, even though I knew he could see right through me. It was obvious, I was far from it.

"I'm going to do it regardless, so just sit tight for awhile."

I nodded a little and laid my head back on my knees as Alicia sat by me. "Thanks Ethan," I said quietly. 

"No problem." I got to work cleaning the glass up and then I'd fix the door before leaving.

I sat there and watched him clean up and suddenly felt just completely overwhelmed by... everything... I felt tears sliding down my cheeks and as soon as they started I couldn't get them to stop. 

I got everything cleaned up and fixed the door back without saying much. What was there to say? Sometimes people just needed to let things out. "Are you going to be alright by yourself?"

I nodded a little and wiped my eyes. "Yeah. I'll be fine," I said quietly. "Thanks again Ethan. Could you not... tell anyone about this... please?"

"I always keep things between us, don't I? No worries."

I nodded. "You do. Thank you. I should've... told him... about the baby... before... I just... I couldn't. Now he hates me." 

"Caleb doesn't hate you Ezra, how could he? He's just upset, I'm sure he'll come back home soon."

I shook my head. "No he won't. He said he's never coming back," I said and wiped more tears from my eyes.
