"You like me that much huh?" I teased.



"I don't mind. Let me see if Erica will keep Zoey for a bit."

"I do." I smiled. "I'm sorry for making assumptions about you. I was just annoyed I guess."


"Alright, sounds good."

"I'm sorry for annoying you."



I went over to Erica and sat down beside her. "Can you keep Zoey for a little bit? And keep an eye on Raine? She went back home already."

"It's just been a long day. A lot has happened, good and bad."


"Of course I can, it's no trouble. The boys already left too."

"I hear you. Hopefully the rest of the day will be good."



"How have they been? I haven't been over in a few days. Things have been... a little crazy."

"I hope. I'll see you when you decide to come home."


"They're doing okay. They've been at their fish camp a lot since the weather is warming up."

"I won't be gone long. I'll probably just hang out a little bit longer. I need to lay Daphne down for her nap soon anyway."



I nodded. "That's good. They're excellent at fishing. I'll be back soon okay? Thank you again," I said and hugged her then Zoey, kissing the top of her head.

"Just take your time. I'll see you two in a bit." I toldhim and then turned to walk away. Really...what the hell just happened?


"You're welcome, hun. Anytime."

I walked back to the others and took Daphne back from Abi. "Thank you."



"I'll see you in a little bit," I said and hugged her again then went back to Parker. "Lead the way."

"You're welcome. Is she alright?"



I smiled and took her hand in mine "If you say so."

"Yeah, she's fine. She just wanted to go home."



"Well I don't know the way to your cabin," I said, lacing my fingers with his.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked Carter.


"Oh, I know that. I just meant if you want me to lead the way then that's what I'll do."

"Sure," I said and followed him when he got up and walked away.



I smiled and kissed him. "I do. Let's go," I said and he led me out.

"I didn't hear what Brooke said at first but...I kinda of heard you and then I think all of us heard something about...her sex drive?"

I sighed. "I didn't mean... to say that... and especially not so loudly. What did you want to talk about exactly?"

"Dude, you're jealous. I don't think you realize it."

"Jealous of what? I'm not jealous."

"Brooke is seeing someone and you're jealous. I have witnesses. I've never heard you have that tone before."

"What tone? I didn't have a tone. And I'm not jealous. What do I have to be jealous of."

"Carter, I love you like a brother but you're in denial right now. You have feelings for Brooke. That isn't a bad thing. Who is she with anyway?"

"If I did, which I don't, it would be a bad thing. I just lost Ronna. And... she's seeing... Jon. As in Ezra's dad Jon."

Carter

"Holy shit, are you serious?"

"Oh yeah, dead serious."

"But he's...older." I said in disbelief. "Wait...you said something about his age didn't you? That's why she brought up the sex drive."

"Yeah, something about being the only woman with a bunch of men. And everyone has sex, and did I expect her to stay celibate or something like that. I don't know, what does it matter?"
