Bella

"Hey Bella, how're you feeling?"



"Hey guys," I said, slowly sitting up, my hand on my belly. "Tired, really tired. I'm okay though. How're you Aurora? I haven't seen you in forever."

"I'm okay." I said, trying not to watch her stomach. "Looks like my brother is taking good care of you."

"Yeah he is. He's been real good to me."



"We came to ask if you wanted to go fishing with us. The boys have been wanting to go."



"Yeah, Chase has talked about it. I don't know if... I want to go or not."

"I promise you'll have fun, Bella. You can't stay shut in this house forever." I smiled and kissed her on the forehead.

"I don't want to stay shut up forever. Just until I'm not as big as a fucking house anymore. Everyone knows how I got pregnant, I hate the way they look at me." I sighed and put my head in my hands for a minute. "I'm sorry. I'll... I'll go. You're right, it might be fun," I said quietly.

"I know you're self conscious because of the way it happened, but we'll be out by the river and it's just going to be our little group."

I nodded a little, looking down at my lap. "I said I'll go. I just... don't want to be around a bunch of people. That's all."

"I know, so it'll just be us and you won't have to be around a lot of people."

I nodded again. "Okay. When do you want to go?"

"Whenever Gabe wants to, where is he anyway?" I asked Raine.

"He was in the mess hall eating. I wasn't really hungry, so I told him he could stay and finish while I took food to Aurora."

"He should be here soon enough then and we'll see what he wants to do."

I nodded. "That's fine with me," I said and sat down by Bella.

I went over and sat down beside my sister "You look better, today."


"Thanks, I'm really trying."

"We all are. It just takes time," I said and squeezed her hand a little. I smiled at Gabe as he walked in. "Hey baby."

I smiled at Raine and smiled back at Aurora "Hey guys, what's up?"

"Just wondering when you guys wanted to go fishing."

"Let's go right now, I don't have anything better to do. It's been ages, I've been dying to go."

I nodded and looked at Bella. "You feel up to it right now?"



I nodded. "I'm fine. Just... could someone help me up?"

"Yeah, of course." I said as Chase and I went over and took her arms, helping her stand.

Chase put his arm around me and I leaned against him, my hand on my stomach. I was so uncomfortable, my stomach had been tight all day. "Off we go," I said and smiled a little as we left.
