The Infirmary

"I'm not leaving, Quin. I'm staying right here...as long as it takes. I love you."

"I love you too. Just feel like... I'm in a dream... Very painful dream... but yeah, a dream. Hard to make sense of anything. Except you," I said and squeezed her hand again. "I want to go home." Quin

"As soon as Pepper says you can leave that's where I'll take you." I brought his hand up to my lips and kissed the top of his knuckles. "Some people showed up earlier...I think I heard them mention the name Ford but I didn't go out to see."

"Good. I can't wait. I spend way too much time needing to get doctored up and stuff." I put my hand against her cheek for a moment before lacing my fingers with hers again. "Ford? Really?" -Quin

I nodded and squeezed his hand a little. I never wanted to let him go...ever. "Yeah. Do you know them?"

"Yeah from back in that hell. You don't know which ones?"

I shook my head "No, but the woman he brought with him did have a baby. It was pretty hard not to overhear that."

"Wonder if it's Preston. He's married. I don't think his brother was with anyone when we left. Did they have a kid with them?"

"I heard Ezra talking to a little boy."

"Must be Preston and Katy then. They have a son."

"I'm sure it's them then, I haven't left the room to see. Your Mom and Brett have been here too, they'll be back soon."

"Oh okay. How's Raine? Did anyone tell her?"

"I don't even know...I'm sorry. It's been a long night and I've just been here with you. Your Mom was going to see if mine would keep her and Zoey for now."

"Okay. I don't... want her to see me like this... again. She doesn't need this."

"I'll try but if she decides to come and see you I don't think any of us can stop her." I smiled "She's stubborn when she wants to be."

I smiled a little. "Too stubborn. Like mom. How is mom?"

"She's hurting because you are."

I sighed. "She spends too much time hurting. Was supposed to be better out here."

"I've caused a lot of trouble and..there's something you should know." I sighed "It was me...I'm the one who...killed Diego. They might come after or something...I don't know."

I looked at her, shocked for a minute. "You...?" I squeezed her hand and gently tugged on it until she moved to sit on the bed with me. I reached up and put my hand on her cheek again. "If anyone even thinks about coming after you, I'll kill them with my bare hands. No one is ever gonna touch you again. I promise."

I laid down in the bed with him gently, careful not too move him around too much. "I believe you. You've always protected me." I said "I may have sorta taken a hostage too, she's a few rooms down. I was pretty determined to find you."

I raised my eyebrows and couldn't help but chuckle a bit, wincing when that made my ribs hurt. "I would've done the same, and more, for you. I love you too Aurora, more than anything," I said and kissed her softly.

I kissed him back and smiled "I know you would, I love you." I said and put my arm around him gently "Now stop moving before you hurt yourself and maybe I can take you home soon."

I smiled a little. "For you I will. There's nowhere I want to be than home with you."

"I can't wait to have you home. Just to let you know...when I get you there I'll never let you leave again."
