Travis & Ezra

I looked up at him and didn't say anything for a few minutes. "I'm pregnant."

"Holy shit. And you don't want Caleb to know? Why?" 



"Because..." I looked down at my lap. "They already took one baby... away from me," I said softly. "I won't let them try to take this one. No one else can know. Travis knows and... we're gonna pass the baby off as his." 

"Hold the phone. What do you mean they already took one away from you?" I demanded and then composed myself, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry it's just...tonight has been...really fucked up." I said and sat down beside of her. "What happened?"

I took a deep breath. "I... I was pregmant Asher. When I was arrested. They took me to... to Cell 13. They said... if I was pregnant... with Caleb's baby... they wanted to make sure it was... taken care of. And it was. That's why... why I was... bleeding so much," I said and ran a hand through my hair. 

Ezra

"Those fucking bastards." I swore and shook my head. "I won't tell Caleb, you have my word."

I looked up at him and nodded, then looked back down. "Thank you. I know what he's gonna think... if he ever sees me again. I just can't take the chance of anyone finding out the truth."

Ezra

"I get it. I really do... you have no idea."

Asher

I looked up at him and really studied his face, the expression on it. "What's wrong?" He didn't say anything and I got up, going over to him. "Talk to me."

Ezra

"There isn't much to say, Ezra. I just wish life wasn't so fucked up."

Asher

"So do I. But there's nothing we can do about it. We just have to... deal with it. As much as that sucks."

Ezra

"They're going to execute me. Preston and Quin too."

Asher

My body went cold and I couldn't speak for what felt like forever. "N... no, they... they can't... do that," I said, though despite my protestsI should have expected this. It didn't stop the shock from welling up inside me though.

Ezra

"It's true. There are a few things I have to do before hand but eventually... I need to see Tywin myself. It's past time that he and I have a chat."

Asher

"What in the hell would possess you to go talk to the man that wants to execute you? Do you want him to succeed or what? When you leave here you need to run and not look back."

Ezra

"I can't do that. Not anymore."

Asher

"So you'd rather die. That's fucked up Asher. I'm sorry but it is."

Ezra

"I'd rather die than go through life like Jon and Parker did."

Asher

"You'd rather die... than ever have a chance to see your kids and family again. Okay. Whatever. That's your choice but it's fucking bullshit."

Ezra

"And if I leave them what will happen then? They would feel the same as you and Quin do. Abandoned. They wouldn't understand."

Asher

"Yeah they would. Because we'd tell them what happened. It wouldn't be like what happened with me and Quin. We got blindsided because no one told us the truth. Adam and Amelia would know."

Ezra

"Just let me do my thing and you do yours. Okay?"

Asher

"You can't expect me to be okay with thia. Or to let this go. You're my brother Asher, you always have been."

Ezra

"And you know I love you. Just trust me, okay?"

Asher

"I always have," I said quietly and hugged him hard. "I love you too." We hugged for awhile and I finally pulled away reluctantly, wrapping my arms around myself. "You... you should... probably go. I don't want you to, but it's getting late. I don't know when Travis will be home."

Ezra

"I'd like to meet him actually, but since I already have bent out of shape I'll go." I said and kissed the top of her head. "I'm going to be fine, I promise." I told her again. "Everyone is going to be alright, I'll make sure of it. I've always taken care of you guys, I'm not stopping now. I'll catch you later." I ruffled her hair and left.

I opened my mouth to say something else, but he was already gone. I looked at the closed door for a long while then finally made my way into the living room and sat on the couch, waiting for Travis to get home.

Ezra

I wanted to hurry home and check on Ezra before I joined the search party. When I got hom I found her sitting on the couch with a solemn look on her face. "Hey, are you alright?"

I nodded. "Yes. I'm fine. How did things go at the prison?"

Ezra

"Well. Amos is dead if that tells you anything."

"He's dead? What happened?"

Ezra

"Your step father beat him to death during the riot."

I didn't say anything for a few minutes. "Wow. I'll have to thank him if I ever see him again."

Ezra

"He said it was for you and Asher." I went over and sat down beside of her. "Speaking of your brother. Have you seen him?"

"No. I haven't." I could lie all I wanted but I was pretty sure he'd be able to see right through me. I would never give Asher away though.
