Joshua & Lea

"Thank you, so much. That would mean a lot to me."

"You're welcome Lea. I can't make any promises, but I'll do my best okay?" 

Joshua

"That's better than nothing." I said and finished my breakfast. "I guess I'll take my medicine and lay back down for awhile."

"That's fine. Rest for as long as you need. Just let me know if you need anything alright?"

Josh

"Thank you, I will." I told him as I stood from the table. "I can clean my dishes before I go."

"No, that's okay, don't worry about them. I'll take care of them."

Joshua

"Thank you. I'll see you in a few hours then." I told him and then left the dining room.

I watched her leave then cleaned up the kitchen before heading upstairs to my study.

Some kind of alarm woke me a few hours later. I got up and opened my bedroom door just as Joshua was about to knock. "Hey, what is that?"

"There's something going on at the prison, I have to go. Stay inside until I get back okay? Don't let anyone in." 

Joshua

Talk about a wake up call "I won't. Josh, what's going on? Do you know exactly what's happened?"

"No, I won't get details until I get there. I was basically just told to get my ass there now. I'll be back as soon as I can." I grabbed my stuff and headed out.

Joshua

I gave Joshua enough time to be gone and grabbed my old clothes, slipping them back on. I searched the house until I found a backpack and I packed a few things from the kitchen. Without being too obvious, I slipped out of the house. A long time ago everyone had discussed how the the old trading spot would be our meeting place incase of an emergency. I'd try to make it there and wait for a bit. 

Evan dropped us off and Joshua walked me in the house. I was feeling a little better but not by much.

"Are you hungry or anything?" I asked as I shut the door behind us.

Joshua

"No...no I don't think I could hold anything down right now."

"Alright," I said and went into the kitchen to make some coffee.

Joshua

I watched him go and then made my way up the stairs. 

I wandered around the neighborhood for awhile before going to Lea's and knocking.

There was a knock on the door as I was cleaning up the dishes from breakfast. I stopped what I was doing and went to see who it was. "Caitlin. Come on in." I smiled.

"Thank you. I'm sorry to bother you, I just... I didn't know where else to go."

"You aren't bothering me at all. What's wrong? You look distraught."

"I just... I found something out today and... I don't know how to handle it. Do you mind if I get something to drink?"

"Of course." I told her. "What did you find out Caitlin?"

I went to the kithen and got a glass of water. "Atticus... he... Declan was his... his cousin. They... they were like brothers. He knew... that bastard was the one that... He never told me. He never said anything. The photo album... it was in a box... in the attic. He was hiding it from me."
