Joshua & Lea

I nodded. "That can happen sometimes," I said and we were both quiet for a few minutes. "Did you care about him?"

I didn't know what to say. His questions were making me think about the relationship I had with Dean. I cared about him, but I don't think it's the type of caring Joshua is referring to. "Yes, I did."

I nodded. "This must be really hard on you then."

"I'll be fine."

"It's okay if you're not though. You've been through a lot. You're an extremely strong woman Lea."

"Thank you." I said "Can I ask why Tywin had so many...single men? Let's be truthful, arranged marriages or not we aren't blind."

"It's pretty simple really. He doesn't allow us to marry until we're 30, unless it's a special circumstance. He wants his soldiers wholly and 100% focused on the job at hand, and having a significant other or a family can distract your thoughts. Especially if, god forbid, we were to get attacked. I guess he considered this a special circumstance."

"I see. I guess he did."

"Don't get me wrong... I know I didn't choose this, but... I'm glad things turned out this way. I'm glad I got to meet you. I think you're an amazing woman."

"Are you trying to charm me?"

"That depends. Is it working?" I asked and smiled at her.

I smiled back at him "Maybe."

"Then yes, I was trying to charm you," I said and winked at her. "I was being honest too though."

"You're too sweet then." I teased.

I chuckled. "Well thank you."

"Oh, you're welcome."

"You're welcome. Do you feel like going out today?"

"I don't know. I'm still having some pain, maybe I should rest."

"That would probably be best. Why don't you write your sizes down and I'll have Marie go get you a few things. Then when you feel better we can go shopping for the rest. Does that sound okay?" 

"That sounds fine, actually. I'll write them down for her before I lay back down."

"Alright. Is your room okay? I forgot to ask you last night."

"It's great. I um...I really like it." I ssid and played around with my food for a second "What's going to happen to my brother?"

"I honestly don't know. We weren't given any details. I can try to find out for you though."

Josh

"I'd really appreciate that. He must be worried sick about me."

"I imagine so. I would be in his situation too. I'll see what I can do alright?"
