I shook my head "There isn't anything to talk about, are you hungry? Thirsty?"

"Well I'm here, if you want to. Even just to talk about stupid things that don't really matter," I said and smiled at her. "Why don't you sit, I can make you some tea. My dad made it for my mom all the time when she was pregnant. She said it really helped with the tiredness and nausea and all that. If you want me to anyway, I don't want to overstep or anything."

"Sure, I don't mind. There isn't anyone here for you overstep, anyway." I told him and he got up, going into the kitchen "Quin would be terribly jealous of you."

"I just meant because this is your house, not mine," I said and searched her cabinets for what I needed. "The boyfriend, sorry fiance, who abandoned you would be jealous of me? Why is that?"

"I wouldn't say jealous, but he would be protective of me. Just the way he is."

"No offense, but he doesn't really seem all that protective of you to be honest. Seeing as how he up and left you here alone," I said and brought the tea to her. "Careful, it's still hot," I said and sat down beside her.

I blew the tea lightly so it would start cooling down "He is though, he's saved me...a few times actually."

"All I know is... if you were mine, I'd never leave you. Nothing could ever make me leave you."

I looked down at the floor my face blushing a little "Thank you."

I smiled. "You're welcome. I was just being honest though. I didn't make you uncomfortable did I?"

I shook my head "No, you didn't. If I was I'd let you know."

"Good. I love an outspoken woman. I mean... you know what I mean. I like when women speak their mind."

"If you love an outspoken woman, you're definitely in the right place."

"Personally I think I'm in the perfect place right now," I said and smiled at her.

"I'd refer to it as the danger zone, I've been on a war path lately." I teased him, smirking a little.

"I don't scare that easily. I like danger," I said and smirked a little.

I smiled a little and then set there for a moment "Do you think he's coming back? Quin, I mean."

"I think so. You're too special not to come home too," I said and smiled at her, wishing things were different and she wasn't waiting around for someone who obviously didn't appreciate what she was worth.

"You have something else on your mind, I can tell."

"That's true. I do. I just don't think it's... really my place to say it."

"You've already said plenty, might as well get it all off of your chest."

I sighed, then took a deep breath then looked at her, my eyes meeting hers. "I just wish... things were different. That you weren't waiting around for someone that obviously doesn't appreciate what you're worth. Let me tell you, if I was lucky enough to be engaged to you, hell even dating you, I'd cherish every moment. Nothing could make me leave you, and sure as hell not on the night before the wedding. You seem so sad all the time, and I wish there was something I could do to make you smile. And it kills me... that the only person that can right now is miles away, and who knows when he's coming back. I think him leaving was selfish, whatever his reasons. And this may be selfish of me... but in some ways I hope he doesn't."

"If you care anything about me then you should hope he does come back, because if he doesn't I'll be ruined. Life without him is unthinkable."

"That's why I said it was selfish." I shrugged a little. "You wanted me to be honest. I'm not proud of the way I feel, but it's the truth. I hope he does come back, if only to see that beautiful smile on your face again. I just wish... that smile could be for me instead of him."

"I've made things difficult for you haven't I? I'm sorry, you're too nice for that."
