"Taking their precious sweet time aren't they?"

"I will tell you what, you are two smart and tough chicks." i said cleaning ezra



I managed a small smile. "Yeah well we gotta be... where we live... you know? You're pretty damn... tough yourself. Thanks for... helping us out and... and everything. Couldn't have... have made it without you."

"I told you, we were gonna get through this, i promised."



"Yeah you did. And we did... we really did it. We're going home," I said and tried to keep from shaking while he was stitching me up, I knew I'd lost a lot of blood.

"Look, i need to carry you a bit, piggy back, and you eat." i said with no room for agument.



"I can... I can walk, just... help me up and... put your arm around me... hold me up. You don't have to carry me."

We helped her, walking through the thick trees as we talked and ate, feeling exhausted and excited.



I had to take a moment and rest. They had just helped me sit down when we heard the sounds of the helicopter. "Sounds like they finally decided to come get us."

Trent helped me get Ezra and Aurora in then i climbed in. "Man, i have never been happier to see anyone in my whole damn life."



"I bet, you all kicked ass..you okay?" i asked Ezra.



I nodded a little as I leaned back against the seat. "Yeah... yeah, just... really tired," I said and held Aurora's hand. I caught my reflection in the window, I was white as a sheet. "I just... really want to go home."

"I bet Asher's waiting for you back at the Capitol with medics on hand." I told her and smiled at Trent "Couldn't have kicked ass without an awesome mentor, thanks."

"I want you to know, Quinn....he was devastated little one, i imagine everyones besides themselves." i smiled and hugged her.



I held Ezras hand and smiled as she leaned against me. "You and
allegra would really get along. You know, maybe her coming out there will be okay." i said and we fly in silence back to the capitol.

"We wouldn't let anything... happen to her Bastian. We take... care of our own... And you guys... you're part of us." I smiled at him then closed my eyes, listening to the sounds of the helicoptor as we flew back.
